Any reason for it being about 2.5x heavier than the S550 version?

Just curious...

Between the two (2) ... they have a completely different design in the pedal assembly, the springs do different things for each car.

Copy, was just curious, that's all. I can't remember off hand, was there anything else that came out with the spring? If so, do you guys carry that as well? I thought there was a guide or holder or something but I can't remember it's been too long.

Hi TJ,

Maybe I'm missing something here......the assist spring is listed as an S197 part and the model years listed as 11-14. Would this spring help the touchy clutch release on my '06 GT?

I have a followup question: So is the theory behind this Steeda spring to make the clutch easier to depress? i.e. less stiff? Hmmmm... maybe it's just me, but I like the stiffness of the OEM clutch in my S197.

I think it's supposed to make it easier than without a spring at all, not easier than stock.

Hello JackStraw,

Sorry for the delay - but I spoke to the R & D team & they said the following
It will not work ... because of the design we do not see the ability to make an aftermarket one. 05-10 works completely different
Best Regards,

TJ

You can check out this article to get a full review & insight of the spring http://www.mustangandfords.com/how-t...great-results/

It's HARDER to press the clutch down with both of our spring offerings.

TJ

This is what I know - these have been flying off the shelves & we have sold our initial supply.

Some of the springs may now being shipping out at a little later date. I have asked the sales professional assigned to each order, to follow-up with you directly.

I will hopefully have updates for you all sometime tomorrow.

Best Regards,

TJ
