Another Cars and Coffee Mustang Burnout Gone Wrong

The latest show-off fiasco involves a Mustang driver leaving a Cars and Coffee event in Chicago. The driver loses control of his car then slams into another vehicle. And as you’d expect, the entire thing was caught on camera...

Let’s see, exactly how many Mustang burnouts-gone-wrong have we come across over the past year? 20, 30, 40 … ?

Well, actually too many for us to count. In fact, most folks have come to expect at least one Mustang getting into a wreck at the local car event, while trying to pull off some stunt or another. Sure, there are probably a gang of Camaro videos out there that show a similar trend. But unfortunately, it’s typically the Ford pony car incidents that draw the most attention.

The only good thing is that it appears that both drivers were okay. But the two cars are going to need some major repairs.

I haven't noticed an S550 ever doing this so I can only conclude that it's the flintstones' style SLA that's the problem here...

Proof that some people should NEVER turn off traction/stability control. Or perhaps proof that some people deserve to drive a Prius.

LOL thank goodness no one was hurt, but come on, guys like that give us regular guys a bad name. If you are in the Northern Virginia area, you know about one of the Cars N Coffee places being shut down due to people doing burn out and gunning the engines. It was called Kohls' car and coffee. That was an awesome place the parking lot was so big it could take well over 1000 cars at once and still leave room for more. But at last we lost it last summer, so this summer I cant wait to see what will be the next hot spot.

Either that or there's just a bunch of rookie retards that have never taken off smoking the tires till just then. Seems like it's a characteristic of the S550 from most of the videos I've watched like this also. Put it sideways, let up then over correct. Maybe these cars just separate the good drivers from the bad.

I have 255 on rear of my 14. I baby my ride and only launched it at 1500 rpm. Ive posted a .80 gforce. 0 to 30 under 2 secs on cold upstate ny roads in april.. the idea of drinking an driving this ride scares the crap out of me and won't bring her to a party regardless of if I plan on doing anything. The track pack is setup to feel more controled... I couldn't picture a car with more power an less tire (2005 2009 shelby) my brother wants a shelby of these years and what I can say to anyone is mine has spun to 6700 rpm in 3rd gear. Down the interstate I've dropped to 3rd an had tires spin with advance trac ON! Respect the beast!

That's what happens when your spinning tires get grip because you lifted. Physics can bite you in the ***. Poor mustang this is why car shows get shut down its a shame!!!

What a douche. He was rolling at a good clip when he accelerated and the road was clear and dry. How in god's name did he break it loose?

I just watched this again, and it is possible he drifted over to the right and ran onto the painted fog line, which could have caused a loss of traction under acceleration. Just a thought.

I never heard of anyone losing control on a painted line on the road, looks like it is just a line to separate the bike lane that is on the right.

Pretty much. Also, you'll notice the guy begins his burnout on the driveway outside of the street, then transitions to the pavement. That's a good way to lose the back end, too. This guy doesn't know how to drive the car, plain and simple.

If I down shift mine just right I can usually roast tires coming off 5th or even 4th into 3rd or 3rd into 2nd...let alone imagine first, but again I am building this to be a competent track type fun ride that is mainly for dry road only...and mine is just a v6 mind you...mild tune too...
