Going from Coyote to Ecoboost?

Ecoboost Daily Driver
I have a 2015 Ecoboost and found the sound of the vehicle totally unacceptable.
After several non-car people made comments on how the car sounded "funny or weird" I decided to get an different exhaust. After researching exhaust systems I ended up buying a Xforce Varex cat back. This totally changed the sound of the vehicle when the butterflys are closed slightly lounder than stock, meaning you can actually hear some exhaust sound coming out of the tailpipe. When the butterflys are open it sounds awesome, throaty with a growl, loud but not excessively so. The Xforce unit is a great value for the money. Doing multiple 1/4 mile runs under identical conditions over a couple of days on a "safe back road" before and after with track apps it knocked off .4 sec and added 4 mph average on the runs 2 before and 2 after the change over. This is a daily driver, until the snow flys and I average 31 mph running mid grade, on a mostly rural 46 mile commute, and am a bit aggressive w/ the pedal.

I`ve always had a 5.0L but this time I wanted to save on gas a bit . You can mod the ecoboost to get same HP as the 5.0L base. I wasn't dissapointed in the performance , only the throaty exhaust. I was rather shocked that the ecoboost engine performes the way it does as I thought it wouldn't be even close to a GT but I was wrong. I will most likely go back to a 5.0L eventually but for right now , this little I4 turbo deserves some credit lol

If you really enjoy your 2012 with the Borlas you will absolutely hate the sound of the eco-boost with aftermarket mufflers. In addition, the lack of torque and power will be solely missed!
IMHO The 2011-2012 Mustang GT is the best looking mustang since the 2003 cobra. I am not personally a big fan of the S550 looks.
I understand in the end you are going to do what is necessary. Make a wise choice!

The DOHC 4 valve per cylinder 2.3L motor sounds awesome without a muffler! Don't let pro GT guys trick you! My car sounds just ad good as a V8 in WOT mode!
