Which tire size? Do I need new wheels?
I have a 2013 GT- 6 sp man and my only option is a 3.73 rear. I have added some mods -LT Headers, one piece driveshaft, JLT CAI and a good tune. Not a DD. Will not see a track.
I am trying to avoid getting new rims and new tires if possible. I was trying to get feedback if just two new rear tires would work.
If I went with Nitto 555 or Nitto 555R or maybe Mickey Thompson in just the rear. I have stock 18X8 rims. 235/50 are stock tires. The largest recommended tire is a 255.
Is this tire enough to improve straight ahead grip significantly?
Need your thoughts.

I agree with both comments above.
The standard advice around here seems to be Michelin Pilot Supersports...
But to really take advantage of even a stock Coyote, 235s or 255s aren't really up to the job.
Who did your tune? Are they aware of the risks of messing with AFR and knock sensor parameters? Quite a few early Coyotes ate their #8 pistons in the learning process.
