Suspension modification time!
After a season of racing in F stock class in SCCA solo2,
and winning a championship
I have decided to change some things!
This is a daily driver so I have hopefully put together a parts list that will handle track days and daily driving chores as well!
So far I have
Steeda sports springs.
BMR lower control arms.
New tires 275/40/19 P Zero's
The taller tire will help my gear ratio a little better ( wish I had 3.55 gears)
(I know lots of people do not like these tires but I had great luck with stock tires,
And I got these for about half price on sale set of 4 for $620 to my door)
Next on my list is
-lower control arm relocate brackets!
-upper control arm and bracket
-adjustable pan hard bar
-Koni yellow shocks
-gt500 strut mounts
Does any one know when the yearly koni shock sale is?
and winning a championship

That is the plan sir. They are a bit too stiff for my DD, but you guys have nicer roads over there. I wouldn't mind them if I lived over there. Over here, I wish I did the Sports. I figure you'd get more use out of them on the track too, since you get to go often. I really really want to drive Laguna Seca. It's my all time favorite track, at least in Gran Turismo lol. I actually watched Mario Andretti's last race there!

For a guy who has experience driving his car at the limit I would say you might want to think about a Watts link. BMR is coming out with theirs soon at a lower price point than other makers. The rest of your list looks good.

Well I picked up a used adjustable pan hard bar last night for $50!
Its a Spohn Performance product, I had never heard of them but for $50 I figured I would try it.
Its got a polly bushing on one side and a Del-Sphere pivot joint on the other.
which is basically a Delrin bushed spherical rod end.
they say the delrin helps fight NVH, we will see!

Elk grove guy - Will you be using the Mustang for cone duty? If so what class? By your parts list I would assume Street Touring? If that's the case if being competitive is a priority you may have to step up to some stiffer springs and bigger tires/wheels.

I ran in F stock last year with great success, but I hate the way the car looks sitting so high!
Plus I do about 2 or 3 open track days a year on road courses!
and 2,3 trips to the drag strip a year.
I don't want to go any stiffer on springs due to the fact it is still a daily driver.
I do about 340 days a year on public roads, and about 25 a year on race courses so comfort is still a priority!
But if I fill I need less body role or more grip i might change the sway bar set up!
(big bars, soft springs) I ran this on other cars with good success.

Curious to hear your opinion on how Steeda Sports with Koni yellows work for you. I'm leaning towards this combination myself. My car sees 2-4 road course days a year and street duty April - November. Less dive/pitch/roll and better damping should go a long way
275/40-19 does help avoid hitting the limiter with a few hundred yards to the brake zone. Also more grip is a big plus. The only down side is more flex in the side wall due to increased sidewall height. My TP with stock suspension feels a bit softer in corners with 275/40 Bidgestone S04s, but ultimately there is more grip, so it's not a problem per se.
In your case I'm sure the springs will offset the "softer" feeling by far.

As soon as the KONI shocks go on sale I will buy them and report back with my findings!
Unless one of the vendors want to give me a screaming deal now

Steeda sports and koni yellow is what I would prefer for an occasional road course car. Koni Orange offers perfect ride quality for the street when used with steeda sports, but are too soft for my preference for track duty. Since I have the"softer" steeda springs I may try some larger BMR bars to tighten the handling further.
