Same here I've driven it into December as long as they haven't salted or salt-brined the roads! :-)

Just got to be careful if riding on summer only rubber, they turn into hockey pucks below 40 degrees!! What I go by is when I really notice when the tires pickup sand particles on my street when I drive out of my garage. You can hear every grain bouncing off the wheel wells...

Just noticed the same thing on my Roush yesterday, summer only tires at 40* are a little scary! Little fun too though lol...

tek302,

What's your opinion of the BFR shifter bracket so far? I have mine but will wait to put it on with my one-piece DSS driveshaft.

Exactly! I've been telling people that and they don't understand. My PP 500 is the same way, you'd think it would pick up rock and stuff when its hot, but no. It picks all of that stuff up when its cool out. Every little pebble plinks and knocks under the fenders when its cool outside.

You ain't kidding, it is scary and it is really fun. Just have to be paying attention when driving. I took the 500 out today and it was mid 50s. I could stand on it in 2nd anywhere from 30-60 mph and it would get sideways and lay down massive smoking black marks, even shifting into 3rd at 70 and matting it would light them up pretty good for a few seconds with the traction control on.

Any update on this? I did not notice any rattle after first installing the BFR bracket (with stock shifter) but it is there now for sure. Shifter starts to rattle in 2nd and 3rd at least, when running out the RPMs.

Would like to know if I should try adjusting or just wait some time until they hopefully an once a fix.

The retrofit works really well, I am not entirely sure when it will be out though. One thing I want to try since I have the stock shifter is to cover the reverse lockout part of the shifter with dynamat or something similar since I believe that is what rattles.

Its working great. Slight vibration noise when going past 3-4k with stock shifter.

Great solid feeling though.

If you don't practice you'll be just as bad if not worse at road racing.

Amen to that. Here in Texas, I drive mine year round and on those <40-deg days... yeah... its dancing in the street. BUT! Whenever it does hook up... Oh that colder dense air. Mmmm!
