Took her to work today and spent the evening getting her bed ready for the next few months.

Just ordered the Blowfish Racing retrofit kit for their Gen 1 shifter bracket ( to reduce the vibration when the stock shifter is used ). It is now available for order on their web site and they have a special right now for those that have the first gen bracket. Should have it next week I hope.

Waiting on my MGW heat shield to arrive for my Race Spec shifter and perhaps get it in this weekend. Bought all the components to install my Peterson breather and plan on a bit of customizing it.

Got the retro fit kit for the BF bracket today and installed it. It took care of all the vibration I was having with the stock shifter. Very happy with it now. Blowfish Racing took care of me very well. Very happy.

The retro-fit kit is on sale now for $40, and if you return the old hardware you get a $40 credit. Pretty good deal...

I think that deal is thru 12/24/14. Check their website, under drivetrain. They also have a new kit for those using the MGW shifter now.

Yup. Buy it before 12/24/2014 and return the old parts within 60 days and it's free (plus shipping). It goes to $80 after the current offer expires.

I put blowfish racing bracket on with the revised piece. I guess I did it right. The car is up for the winter so won't have a chance to try it till spring ...
Did anyone else who put this on think it was very tight getting into the bolts and such? It was more difficult than I expected but it looks right... Got in the car after and shifted and felt ok but not under load so we will see.

Some of the bolts going into the loop can be a ***** and the clamp for the shifter box was a little annoying, if that's what you mean.

Took mine out for a spin today with my daughters. Got a ton of waves and my girls were laughing at all the reactions! :-)

Hand rubbed her down, (Meguirs Ultra Compound) and waxed. Covered her up and threw the battery tender on, (sigh) I HATE THIS TIME OF YEAR!

I'm still sobbing!

Installed the blowfish retrofit bracket. No longer have vibrations and noises at 3500 to 4000 rpm shifts. Perfect.

Also found oil leak while I was under there. Oil filter some how loosened. Tightened up and no more leak. Luckily i caught it before I lost too much oil. Still showed full on dipstick.
