At track attack today. All the grilles have thematerial between the slats cut out completely along with the fogs which have the wire mesh. I am going to clear out the rest of the blockage on mine.

Drew - Thanks for the heads-up on the grill surround at Rock Auto. Ordered one yesterday and will be playing with it, chicken wire and safety wire in the coming week.
In a slightly inebriated state, I went to Home Depot and found wire mesh in a 1/2" square. Think it is 3' x 5' (may have been 3'x15') that looks like it should do the trick. I'll form it around the back of the surround, cut to shape and then paint it matte black. Will probably leave the grill in it's delivered state (looks like matte black) until I can prove / disprove the functionality. If it works, I may get it painted CO... or just leave it black.
Will report back and try to take photos along the way (no blood this time... hopefully ).

Camber plates installed last night, rounded off the strut shaft hex on the passenger side...hopefully that will never need to be disassembled.
After reading the BOSS-specific manual supplement, I'm going to leave the coolant mixture alone, just going to drain a bit then add Water Wetter, plus the bar grille. Hopefully that will be enough.

Ahhh.... Tokico's are infamous for that. I can't tell you how many I have rounded off before. You can either use a strap wrench on the shaft (takes two people) or just zap it off with an air-gun when you go to replace them

I have one of those grilles here, I'll get a picture of that, I noticed they had cut out the back slats as well.

John, when you install the wire mesh please pass on any tips/pics on the install. I want to do this to the lower opening.

I am back in-town now, filled the trans up numerous times in the last couple weeks. She goes in tomorrow AM to have the part replaced for good! Thanks for the escalation to get the part here a week quicker!

Ford MT82 Rental Car Performance Challenge: trophy can be a bent connecting rod.
Also, does the minivan have the family enumeration decals on the back?

I hate those stupid decals.
I am meeting a buddy of mine at San Tan Brewery in Chandler tonight around 5:30-6pm if you want to join for a beer and some food.

I'm planning on returning the van tomorrow to get the BOSS back.
Probably wouldn't even need a helmet to run the van lol

Just an update that this is fixed for sure now, absolutely no leakage whatsoever, outside of trans is totally clean.
Anyone having the issues described in my first post, take your car in and get the updated part installed!
