Can these two issues be fixed?

So I know there has been a lot of talk about the high RPM shifting issue and wheel hop. I hate them both. I have not done a single mod yet, but thinking about the MGW shifter and Blowfish Bracket. Have updates been done so all the kinks are worked out when installed on a Boss? I am looking for an inexpensive fix for the wheel hop too, that does can be done with bolt on parts. I do not want any drilling or welding. I will probably complete the mods with an aluminum one piece drive shaft. Been thinking long and hard about these things for going on four years, time to get er done. Any comments on brands or install shop in San Diego area?

MGW will help the lockout and Blowfish not need.
To absolutely solve lockout replace the clutch with a Spec or McLeod.
Both these worked for me.

Hi speed/rpm lockout is caused mostly by the stock clutch. Change to a racing clutch and the problem will be solved.
I have McLeod RST and I've had no issues at the race track

A new shifter like the awesome new MGW Race Spec will help a lot.
Start there and see if you still need to do anything else.
I put in a Barton with a new Barton shifter bracket and removed the clutch "helper" spring from the clutch pedal and my issues are gone

As far as the wheel hop, start with some new rear lower control arms.
Most of the time that'll fix the hop and nothing else is needed.

Barton Shifter with the bracket & Blowfish did not cure lockout for me. It worked off & on ,but, not always.
As I noted above the MGW & Spec 2+ fixed it always.

If you have problems finding a gear or notchy feeling at just fun driving. Then I would recommend the blowfish bracket or the MGW Race spec shifter. The BF bracket is easier to install. It also keeps the car stock / except the bracket if that maters
If you have lockout at high RPM or the clutch pedal sticking to the floor then its your clutch that needs to be replaced.
Do not buy any of the stiffer bushings that CLAIM to reduce the shifting problems. I don't want to name vendors.
If you go the clutch route. Stay far away from the stock clutch. It can not handle the high RPM's.
Good Luck in your choice to correct the problem your having.

I honestly do not think I have ever missed a gear. My pedal has never stayed on the floor, but, I do have the lock out at high RPM's. That and wheel hop, need a cure for both that does not involve drilling or welding.

As stated before the cure for these 2 problems are an MGW and clutch, either Spec or McLeod.

Are there different models of the MGW or is it just one, that fits the 2013 Mustang or Boss specific?

Their Race Spec Boss Specific is the one you want.
Go to the MGW web-site.

If you can wait a bit, I have a pair of BMR LCA's that I can sell you once I get my car back from JPC Racing. They took care a large majority of my wheel hop issues.

I was actually looking at the 302S LCA's. I like the fact that they were standard on the Boss S. Pretty expensive though, but it would be my first mod.
