No need to pre-register for Level A or B. You could just show up for the Friday evening festivities and register at that point if you wish.

***NEWS RELEASE***

I have some really exciting news to share about The Mustang Roundup! Those of you that were able to make it last year know Todd Soderquist was the Mustang Planner and a key player at Ford in bringing back the Boss. Todd is currently the CD4 Platform Program Manager at Ford and owner of #LS022 for both the 2012 Black/Red Laguna Seca and 2013 SBY Laguna Seca. He and his father Doug will be piloting both cars in competition at the Roundup. I received the following email from Todd about several "special guests" that have confirmed for this year's event:

"Starting to get official confirmations from the Ford team on attendance.

I’m really excited about this one:

• Chuck Drake was Boss 302 vehicle engineering team leader and an expert on Boss 302 development, details, and decisions.
o Chuck and his father have a pair of 2012 and 2013 Boss 302s plus a collection of classic Mustangs and a continuation Cobra. Chuck’s father will be joining him for the weekend and I’m hoping they are able to bring a pair of cars out.
o Note: Two father and Ford employee son Boss teams!

Also confirmed:

• Bart Marowelli is a New Model Programs Launch Specialist that will be able to tell Gary anything he wants to know about his F-150 pull truck. We are debating about letting him drive a new Focus ST on the track with all these high horsepower cars or making him drive my Daily Driver Race Red 2013 5.0L Track Pack so I can have all 3 of my Mustangs onsite for the weekend.
• Jim Dunham is a Technical Specialist in Vehicle Architecture. He has helped set up the Mustang and Ford GT vehicles. He has also restored the original Lemans winning Ford GT for the Henry Ford Museum. Built 1 modern Ford GT from a salvage and is currently building another Ford GT from spare parts. (pic attached) I’m not yet sure what Jim is bringing. His 13MY Mustang GT, a Ford GT or just coming to hang out and talk with us.

Todd Soderquist
CD4 Platform Program Manager"

What time Saturday is the parade laps? Can I register on Saturday? I am not going to race my car but the parade laps sound fun. Is the car show open to the public? Is the car show at the track?

Could I just drive my Shelby out to Hastings and come see the cars at the track, or do you have to register in level A to watch the cars on the track and see the car show. Sounds like a fun day. And the price is very reasonable.

I'm pretty sure watching is free... although we may charge you a couple of beers if we have to hoon!

The parade laps will be around noon to 1 p.m. The autocross will be held in the morning and the open track will be roughly 1-5 p.m. Hope you can make it out. You can certainly just register at the track if you want to do the parade laps and enter the car show.

What time Saturday is the parade laps? Noon to 1PM

Can I register on Saturday? Yes but would be best if ahead of time so we can have your T-Shirt Size and know food count for Friday night and Saturday evening activities.

Is the car show open to the public? Yes Free to watch

Is the car show at the track? Starts at Museum Friday evening and continues Saturday.

Could I just drive my Shelby out to Hastings and come see the cars at the track, or do you have to register in level A to watch the cars on the track and see the car show. No you can watch for Free

Registering in advance really helps as the staff "ME" will be darn busy during the event.
Hope you can attend.
Friday afternoon and the evening event at the Museum is sponsored by Woodhouse Ford and Saturday is sponsored by Sioux Falls Ford.

Thanks . Going to try to get off work Friday and make it. What time does it all start at the museum and what is all going on there. Sorry for the questions, but I cannot seem to find that info.

Definitely good to register just so George knows how many to feed. Some folks are coming just for the Car shows and the tech talk/film on Friday.

The Ford Engineers will be at the reception held at the Museum/Old IMAX Theatre at 5:30 , though many are encouraged to show up around 4 to 4:30 for the impromtu car show. The Museum is ours from 5:30 till 8:00 and is sponsored by the #2 Ford Dealer in the US, Woodhouse Ford.

If it is anything like last year expect the time to fly and for Mustang or Ford afficianados the tech talk and show in the theatre is worth the weekend by itself.

The Engineers should be around most of the weekend, so any unanswered questions will have plenty of time to get answered.

We have over 50 cars registered already for competition! This is going to be a GREAT event. So far the weather looks very promising. The 10 day outlook goes out until next Thurday and the forecast high is 77 and sunny with a low of 50.

We will have some takeoff Continental slicks for sale if anyone is interested and the local Ford dealership will be available to mount them up. We should have at least a couple sets of 285/645/18s and 2-4 305/650/18s. First come first served.

When you figure all the guys coming for the car show, you need to get signed up -- could have 70-80 Stangs there!!!!

Last year saw a survivor 1970 Mach 1, 69 Boss 429, 69 Mach 1, 70 Boss 302, Ford GT, just to name a few at the show, so don't hesitate to make the event for that even if you don't want to track your car.

Over 60 cars now -- make sure you don't miss one of the best track, informational , social events of the year for Mustangs and Fords.

Top 10 reasons to make sure you get to Hastings ,Nebraska for the Mustang/ Ford event
10. George Anderson often gets a bit nuts in the evening and decides to take everyone on a trip around the track in the Bacardi Bus. Sometimes he decides to drive through the alfalfa to gauge new track configurations.
9. The track has super nice restrooms and showers on site if you are one of those stinky , sweaty race drivers .
8. The track was designed by Alan Wilson , who also did Miller Motorsports Park in Toelle , Utah.
7. Often the guys/gals with condos on the track open them up so you can view all their cool Ford Toys -- there is a preponderance towards Fords in Hastings.
6. You will not only get to hear about Mustangs from four Ford Engineers, you will be able to hang around with them for 3 full days. Rumor is two of them can be bribed for a few beers at the Clubhouse, the tough part is we don't know which two.
5. The food is catered in and it is not typical track food, it is sit down wit da family , good Midwestern eatin!!
4. The track is super safe yet super fun, technical and challenging , but easy to navigate even for the beginner.
3. The Clubhouse on site has super cheap drinks. Did I mention the beer was cold and the price was low!?
2. The track management always tries to get everyone a ton of track time and road course runs on Sat. and Sunday will have transponders.
1. George Anderson, the track manager , understands this is automotive entertainment, so having a good time ,means surprises can often be right around the corner -- this track aims to please!
