Thumbs up Drove the 2015 GT today

So dealerships in my are are starting to get the new cars in and I could finally test drive the new GT 50th Anniversary Edition. The big brakes are amazing, smooth and pull you right down to a stop. Shifting is short and precise. Clutch was smooth, power very smooth, especially above 3k rpm, and the stock exhaust note quite pleasing. No Recaros but sat in a 2014 Track Pack next to it and they are a bit tight for me, If I gained 10 pounds they'd be uncomfortable, you know, what with turkey day/Christmas coming up and all. Telescoping wheel and a lower seating position just made driving a lot more enjoyable. The dead-pedal is in line it seemed perfectly with the go pedal, seating felt like memory foam, very very comfy. The steering is quick and precise, and visibility in the coupe was very good. I like how the roof line blends into the trunk area, and the larger trunk opening is welcome. NVH was non-existent, overall very impressed with the IRS in its stock form. And on the plus side they had a couple of Fusions with Magnetic and Guard paint and both look sweet in person with the sun out.
But before I decide which route to go I still need to drive the convertible, an automatic GT and the Eco-boost 4 for comparison. I am pretty settled on the 5.0 right now and probably now be looking either to order or see how stock looks come April.
Go drive one!!!

I have had my 2015 gt 5.0 for a week now and love it. I have the auto because I have hand controls in mine. I am in a wheelchair so I need them. The sport plus changes the car incredibly. I was surprised at the difference. I also got reactors 3.55 gear. Left out of a restaurant the other nite with a buddy of mine and got on the car a little bit and it fried the tires. I have the 20 inch rims with summer only tires and it was 29 degrees outside. So I didn't expect them to hookup much. But I love the car I have had 4 different year mustangs starting with a 92, 03, 08 and 2011 and like this one the most. It is incredible through turns too.

Congrats buddy and I'm glad you get to keep driving fun cars even if you don't get to do the shifting yourself! How does the car work for you? Do you put the WC in the back seat area? Hope that doesn't come across as rude or awkward, but I'm genuinely curious!

I'd like to see how your hand controls are set up too, if you could post some pics.

Looking forward to seeing what you decide on Womprat.
Congrats GnHunter! Post up some pics!

Even though i'm not getting one for a while i am excited to see alot of '15s starting to appear. Haven't seen one near my home though. I keep checking in at my dealer but they still have some s197's and no s550's.

Stopped by my local dealer tonight...this pic kinda cracked me up lol. My fiancé and I are both warming up to the front end though. It really reminds me of a new SN95 mixed with some S197. It doesn't scream Mustang like the 05-14, but the cues *are* there...

hmm, i didn't know you could get a chrome grill on the '15s. First i've seen of that. Not my cup of tea. I prefer the green over the silver in this case too.

The details give it away. The Mustang has the tri-bar running lights up front. Ideally, you would be able to count the doors. If it has four doors, it's a Fusion.

Oh crap!!!

I sat in a DIB GT yesterday. It was beautiful and better than my 2011 in everyway. I'll be in for the 2020 refresh

I have tried to post pics from my iPhone a couple of times but it keeps coming up with a error message. I have a Quickie light weight chair. I take both wheels off which go behind my seat and then fold the back on the seat part down and put it behind passengers seat. Better than driving a van any day. My controls are minted below the steering wheel just push down for brake and pull down for throttle.

Download the "Internet Brands" app. It's the parent company for TMS and many other forums. The problem is it's still a pos app too, and you can only post one pic at a time from your phone. It's been like this for months, so clearly the TMS owners don't gaf. That said, you can upload the one pic, then go back and edit your post and add one more. Keep doing that for as many pics as you want. It's a pain, but it's a workaround.

And that sounds so cool. I'd love to see the setup!

Yea works great same setup I have had on my 92 mustang and 03, 08, and 2011. Got a funny look from tech guy at Dinwiddie track first I went to run my 92. I told him I street race with it and he looked at the other tech guy and he said hell let him go.
