Any guesses on the base price of the GT350
OK, I'm going to go through a serious decision of first world proportions. Do I get the GT350, or do I stay the course (I drive Vette's, the Mustang is the Wifeys) and go with the C7? So, does anyone has a SWAG (scientific wild a$$ guess) on the starting price of the GT350. I'm guessing there won't be a gnat's breath of difference.

Just a guess here but I'd think 55-60k?

I also guess 52k for GT350, but I'll say 62k for GT500, which I assume will be taken upmarket. Think about it, the previous GT500 started at 55k, but most came with the Performance Packages and stickered around $62-70k. I can see Ford making those packages standard, since most people ordered them anyways, and that gives a nice $45k, $55k, $65k spread for GT, GT350, GT500.

I think i could pull 55k, though im willing to pay whatever to have this car. I'm young and single so whatever. MURICA.

The Shelby 350 was built in Vegas as an aftermarket car. This new 350, along with whatever follows (500), will be built on the same assembly line at flat rock as any other V6, ecoboost, GT, etc, mustang

I had a nice conversation with a sales manager about the Shelby GT350. He did not have any information from Ford other than the video we all have seen. His best guess in pricing was 50 to 53k and thought some dealerships might sell at a premium mark up between 5 to 10k over sticker. These cars are so secret, the dealerships have nothing official as to pricing or delivery dates. However, my dream would be a 53k car in red with white racing stripes. Crazy, I know, considering I just bought a 2014, but the heart wants what the heart wants!

50K - 55K for the GT350 would be where I would think seriously about changing from a Vette. The C7 Vette's base starts at 57K, but that's for what we call a stripper. The cabin in smaller, and to be honest GM's problems have me a bit concerned. Hell, there are even problems with the C6 generation that shouldn't be there because of the bean counters upstairs. Thanks for the guesses folks. I'm in for a lot of thinking.

Well we don't know that the GT500 will roll off the same assembly lines, unless you have inside information from Ford that the rest of us don't have which doesn't seem to be the case.

MSRP will be similar to the '14 GT500. 55'ish base, and 65'ish loaded. Just my SWAG, but I obviously hope that's it's lower. There will be a lot of dealerships asking ADMs, but just like the newly released '05s, and the '13 & '14 GT500s, there will be some available at MSRP... and maybe slightly lower, if you shop around and are willing to travel. Again, just my SWAG.

With all the R&D and tooling costs that have been spent on the new engine and the unique front half of the car, etc. and that wont be spread out among other more profitable models, I'm guessing the base price will be at least $60K, near $70K loaded up with every option. And of course expect some huge ADM's.

I suspect that Ford may look to the Z/28 and price the GT350 below that car, but who knows how much lower. Sure, Ford targeted other competitors while developing the GT350, but as noted above, Ford has some big dollars invested in the unique components of the GT350 and an MSRP north of $60K sounds plausible to me, as well, and it wouldn't surprise me to see it closer to $70K with all options selected. That sure prices it out of my reach, so I'll have to live vicariously through those who actually buy them.

Unless I have missed something I have not heard the proposed production numbers for the GT350 and how many years it will be produced but I suggest that it will certainly be much less than the 8000 plus Boss cars that came out in 2012 and 2013?
Having said that I almost bought a brand new 2007 Shelby GT500 after being told that the first new generation Shelby was a limited production car. What Ford did was build ~10,700 units as a limited production car with many being sold well over MSRP. Very happy I didn't go down that road.
Of course the new GT350 is going to be a big improvement over the Boss cars and so it should be after another 4 to 5 years of development.
Remember the VP and TT Boss cars came out in mid 2010 with the PP cars coming out in October 2010 so in the last 4 years or so Ford has had a lot of time to forward with some great upgrades in performance, braking and handling on the new GT350 and it will show when the car is finally launched.
The unveiling GT350 car that just came out was "VP001" so certainly we can expect numerous changes to be made to this new model launch prior to actual production.
Assuming that all goes well I will certainly be one of the many in line to put my deposit down on this tremendous new Mustang.
