If it's in a magazine the Camaro will be better even if it's heavier, slower, and fuglier.

I hat the upturned rear on the C&D render. I hope that's totally wrong.

Loose the squinting thin headlights and this is starting to look good. But the headlights is to Fusion and generic. Too many cars with this look these days.

Everybody has there preferred flavor of the Mustang, but IMO, the ones that were truly ugly were the 71-73 with truly badonkadonk rears. Even the 74-78's looked better. I just can't get past (or see around) the @ss. Lol The fox is what kept Ford in the pony car business. The SN95, mainly new edges is what killed the competition. 05-09's brought back some of the classic look and it worked in bringing back the competition. But again IMO, they should have redesigned for 2010, instead of totally redesigning for 2015, which could be a disaster given the importance of the anniversary. This could be a design were the vast majority of fans ignore the generation.
I guess it's truly to each his own. I can't stand the fox bodies or the 74-78. The fox body always looked to me like just a bigger Escort. The 74-78 are hideous and lost everything that makes the car a mustang, including their guts. For me it goes 69-70, 67-68, 2005-2013, 71-73, 64-66, new edge, 93-98, Fox, 74-78.

Doesn't look like it's possible, because the engine might need the height, but I'd be cool if the nose could slant down more on the front.

Yes, then it would look even more like a Jag or Aston.

If I want a sports car why would I buy a Mustang?
I buy a Mustang because I want a sports coupe or muscle car.

Glad people at ford at least seem to know their market.

Rolleyes all you want. This rendering looks just as easily like an Aston Martin or a Jag. I don't think you are in Ford's marketing eyes either. That is, unless you live in Europe.

Yes, I do live in Europe for the time being, reason this design sickens me. It looks like any other coupe around here. Even Peugeot has something not too different.
Second, I know it already looks like a Jag, reason I wrote it would look EVEN more like a Jag and Aston. ;-)

IMO, take away just a few very subtle Mustang cues, and you could even argue that it looks like a nextgen Monte Carlo.

While I'm Not a Fan of C&D's Render, it's Not Even Close to a Fusion Coupe. But Some People just Dont Get It that the Grill on the 2015 will look more like an Evolution of the 2013/2014 Mustang, which in it's self is an Evolution of the 67/68 Shelby's Grill. Not to mention that the proportions of the 2015 Mustang alone will make it look Nothing Like a Fusion. It's Dash to Axle Ratio Clearly Define it as a Rear Wheel Drive Car, and it will be Much Lower and Wider with a Much More Agressive Stance. Nobody will Mistake it for a Fusion.

+1

This doesnt look like a fusion coupe at all to me. Yea theres some similarities but its Ford company face now. Like it or not times and designs are changing. Also on the Monte Carlo comparo earlier, chu crazy. Proportions are way off and honestly theres no way i could ever confuse the two. Even if i was blind id be able o tell which is which. These arent even the official pics but if you dont like it you dont have to buy it

I guess what I'm getting at is that the car looks more like a 50 year olds sporty comfy riding Monte or Cutlass than a muscle or sporty American car. Remember the 80's Cutlass? More comfort than performance. The Grand National's went fast in a straight line. That's just not acceptable anymore for modern muscle. I understand the comparison is a little weak in the looks department, but what I'm trying to drive home is that it looks like it was designed for a mid 40's to 60's person who doesn't want an aggressive look, but wants some performance. I say go buy a CTS-V to those people. BTW, I'm in that age group. And I think these renderings look good. That should tell a lot of the 20's and 30's that something ain't right.

In my eyes, only a few changes and it would make a big difference. Smaller in length than the current stang. Loose the abrupt nose. Add a little more Mustang cues, so it looks meaner, not docile and like it will get 40 MPH.
