'15 V6 vs. '14 V6 drive shaft

Can anyone tell if the 2014 V6 and the 2015 V6 have the same DS? The part number is different but I can't tell if they are the same. Some of the parts of the sub assemblys have the same numbers.

The point of this is to determine whether or not to replace my cars DS before getting a tuner.

I actually think some people were covering this very same question on mustang evolution. If I recall the verdict was the 2015 mustangs are still using 2 piece driveshafts and the V6 driveshaft is the same as the 14 V6.

Its agood idea to get a one piece if you might plan to travel high speeds in excess of 120 mph.

With an IRS at the rear vs the SRA pumpkin, I would be surprised if they were exactly the same length.

I'm not sure about the lengths. I do recall people saying the 15's also had the two piece driveshafts. 😎

I looked up the 5.0 DS, it has the same part # as the V6. It looks the same as well.

Right. There's another thread where I looked up the pics Lethal posted. I really don't understand why they would need the 2 piece for either safety or NVH since the IRS is mounted. Have you seen the size of that IRS monster??

Makes it look like a bolt in unit that was designed after the fact, rather than part of a "clean sheet" design.

I'm assuming this also means the 2015 V6 is speed governed somewhere in the 112 to 115 mph range, is that right? Also do we know if the ecoboost is using this same drive shaft?

There was actually no mention about the speed limiter on the V6 that I recall. If the V8 and V6 models have a two piece, I would bet the 4 banger had a two piece as well.
