MT 82 TRANS ISSUE AGAIN
Hi everyone I have another mt82 trans issue I have seen allot of people with the same issues and some have been solved, mine has not I figured I would post a picture of what a MT82 trans looks like in pieces. The ford tech was great to deal with but he found all of the bearings were scored but nothing else broken? put it all back together and now the whine noise is louder and I now have a vibrations at hwy speeds right at 60-70 mph and I was told there is nothing else we can do? wtf

Atleast Ford is there to help! I had to trade in my 2011 Civic Si becouse the 3rd gear was garbage and kept poping out of gear and grinding. Took it to several dealers and they all told me its fine "nothing wrong". Google 3rd gear issue Honda civic Si and you will be blown away at all the complaints lol still no recall! I love that Ford will actualy work with the customer to fix issues and not tell you that your crazy like Honda! Sad to see you're having issues, my MT82 works perfect, exept 2nd gear when its cold is a little crunchy. Ill take that over that garbage Honda makes any day! Good luck with the repair and i hope your grabing smooth gears from now on!

Bet your vibration is due to driveshaft reinstalled rotated from original, carrier bearing not straight, or, believe it or not, exhaust alignment.
When i changed my clutch this summer, had a new vibration first test drive, put it back on the lift, walking behind the car, saw my mufflers werent lined up and one wasnt centered in the bumper cutout... Loosened the midpipes, one kinda popped forward about 1/4"... Didnt find anything wrong with the tranny/shaft/carrier... Drove it again, vibration was gone. Since then i was told a tsb says remove the midpipe rubber hangers completely, but mine are still there... Just surprised a little tension on the pipes shoving the motor a little forward on the hydromounts could make such a noticable vibration at certain rpm ranges...
