SR Performance short shifter

So I am wanting to upgrade my stock shifter and I am on a limited budget. I know everybody talks about the Barton and MGW but I dont want to spend that much so.....I am wondering if anybody has used the SR performance shifter and their thoughts.
Thanks

I could be wrong but I think the SR is a clone of the Steeda.

The two do look virtually identical in photos, but the SR one advertises shorter throws than the Steeda.

I took a hard look at the Steeda myself before I caved to peer pressure and sprung for the MGW. Best decision I ever made. It's a lot of money, but worth every single penny.

I have owned the SR. shifter and bracket for over two years in my daily driver ('11 GT) without any issues. If you are getting the shifter, install the bracket at the same time. AM has them priced as a packaged at $200, then get a discount code for even less.

SR Shifter

I tried this shifter twice with the same outcome in my 14 GT. I found the spring in the shifter to be too soft. Which I let AM know about but no fix was known. As I placed my hand on the shifter going into first from a stop I would go into reverse quite often without trying. I had to make sure I wasn't in reverse all the time so I opted to stay with the stock setup after the two tries. I just bought the street MGW so hopefully it works as advertised. I wouldn't recommend the SR.

Save your money up and get either Barton or MGW.

I've felt the Barton and imo is is too short and very notchy. I like the stock shifter with the steeda bracket. But I have my eye on the new track MGW.

I like and have the same set up you have. I watched the YouTube video on the track mgw and I have to admit, it keeps wanting to sneak into my mod list.

I have the stock shifter with a Barton bracket. The bracket really helped missing up-shifts/downshifts at the track. Stock shifter still feels like driving a stick through a box of rocks sometimes, but no more missed gears at least. Unless my hand slips off the shifter Did that a few times this year doing an aggressive 1-2 shift.

The new MGW looks AWESOME. I really want one too

I couldn't shift that fast if I wanted to... Driver mod needed... But I also like my transmission a little more to try...
