My 2010 GT Convertible build thread
Hello everyone,
My wife (war and treasury department) green lit my expenditures and I have a ton of stuff on order for my Mustang from AM .
Here is a pic of my Mustang in stock form.
I have show cased some of my mods before on this site but I wanted to make a thread that is breakdown of everything I am doing to my car. When the car was bought it was a bone stock 2010 GT convertible premium with a manual transmission. I got a huge deal on it since it is the last year of the 4.6 and most people buy Automatic convertibles. She sat on the lot for a very long time. The price at the time was $24k put after some wheel and dealing I picked her up for $18k. At the time of purchase she had 30 thousand miles on the clock.

In late 2013 I came within a hair of pulling the trigger on this 2010 'vert. It had 17K miles, was certified, clean Carfax, and it was going for around 23K. I left a deposit, arranged for financing, then got cold feet because it was an auto. It was a beauty though, and I so badly wanted a red interior.

2013 rear tails will look good.
Going to do a light bar? These really set off the vert imo. I have a CDC to go in mine once I get a bit of time to do the install.

Looking good so far. Big fan of the shaker on a mustang. So old school but still cool and relevant to the S197 imo.

I am not sure how the 2013 lights are going to look with the decklid so I ordered a gloss black one just in case. As for the light bar that will be done in the near future, maybe get it for Christmas.
My goal is to keep the car as clean as possible. I really do not want the mods to come off tacky. What do you all think?

Make sure to have a day to do it and take your time. The only issue I had was cutting the whole in the air box more than the hood. Anyone one can do it!

I am still waiting on the gloss panel from AM. It is on back order still. I just got my replacement Koni strut in today. I had one that was blown right out of the box. If things go well the parts will be installed this weekend.
