Track pack engine oil cooler oil

Track pack engine oil cooler oil
When changing the oil in the '13 GT500, how does one get the oil out of the track pack's engine oil cooler located in the front grill? Does the oil gravity-drain back into the oil pan when the engine is cut? My call to SVT has them also working on an answer.
I couldn't stand going past 750 mi on my new Performance White, stripe delete Shelby without changing the factory oil, now full of factory assembly lubricants! The oil refill w/filter does take 8.5 qts, not the 9.5 qts that the mags have been saying, unless the oil cooler always holds the last qt!

If hot oil stays in the engine oil cooler every time the car cools off, will the cooler & lines eventually sludge up? Just trying to look ahead!
Does anyone know if the oil cooler has it's own oil pump? Even if the oil there could gravity-drain back to the pan, an inline pump could block drainage!

Needs to be more Astony
No, those parts are not hot enough to bake the oil in the lines, only thing capable of that is the heat of a turbo, those can bake the oil in them if not allowed to cool before shutting engine off. That is why a lot of high powered turbo cars have turbo timers, so car runs a set amount of time after ignition is turned off.

You are WAY over thinking an oil change. If the engineers thought it would cause a problem in the long term they would have come up with a way to get it out. You will never get 100% of the oil out of any vehicle during an oil change.
Or you could always do this:
Drain oil
Refill 8.5 qts of new synthetic
Start vehicle to circulate oil
Repeat until you feel all the old oil has been purged
Or you could always do this:
Drain oil
Refill 8.5 qts of new synthetic
Start vehicle to circulate oil
Repeat until you feel all the old oil has been purged

If 1qt stays in the oil cooler, that's greater than 10% of the 9.5 qt (?) capacity. I know that some oil will not drain with a change, but 10% on top of the normal who knows how much!
I'd prefer to get that 10% OUT, or as least know for sure that it's still there.

Oil change
I did mine last week at 923mi.I have the coolers,let it drain for a few hours,M-6731-FL820 filter.Exactly 8.5qt to full line.I'm sure you can pull the lower valence off and disconnect the lower cooler line and get more oil out.But then you will have a longer time to get oil pressure on startup.Even without the cooler there is probably close to a quart in the rest of the engine.
I'll be changing around 3500-4000 except when the car sees track(road course) duty.I'll be more like 2000 max then.This is what I do with my Boss 302 and so far so good.

I finally heard back from SVT's T. Magyar about the oil in the oil cooler & the fluid in the trans cooler. His quote:
"440sprint, this is the answer I was given……
The engine oil cooler does not drain back when you drain the oil pan. The oil cooler and lines hold one quart.
The trans cooler does not drain back when the trans is drained."
He did not say how much fluid remains when draining the trans cooler, but we Track Packers will always have 1+ qt of used oil always left in the car after draining the crankcase for an oil change!
