Absolutely loved this car. Beautiful, fun to drive, handled great, just underpowered for what I like.

If that had been my 2008 Shelby GT? I would have added a supercharger Lee!

That's what I was going to do. Had very
serious talks with Brenspeed about a Saleen blower or a Whipple and taking it to them, and even drove it to a place in ATL called Injected Engineering that had a good reputation. Even talked to Tasca because they were certified by Shelby to do the upgrade to GT/SC and change the Shelby tags on it to be in the registry.

But at the time the economy was in the tank and it was going to cost more to do it on the 08 SGT than I could buy a new GT500 for when you added in the value of the 3 yr old SGT. It was different at the time, you couldn't give a Shelby away, the mark ups had dissolved, it was 5k UNDER MSRP so I traded it. Got bigger brakes, stouter engine, proven 6speed tremec and GT 500 clout for what it would have cost to get the sgt blown.

And it was always going to be a mustang GT by the VIN, nothing would ever show it for what it was at sale. Just like the other aftermarket tuners.

Trade in day above.

If given the choice you faced, I also would've done the same in the end!
