Rear Suspension

We originally had planned to leave the 8.8 live axle in the car but changed our minds and decided to install an IRS from an '03 Cobra. Here is the picture of it in place and mocked up. It will be removed again so that we can paint but we wanted to get it mocked up and in place so that we could get everything set up and mounted before painting.

are you gonna use stock half-shafts or something like DSS level 5's?

I don't think we'll have a problem with the stock 31 spline shafts as this car is set up for open track and not a drag car. This IRS unit only has 700 miles on it so everything is basically new.

Very good idea, now throw on more SVT 10th anniversary stuff on that Cobra. (a Terminator-spec'd "Aluminator" shortblock? )

That is the same one that we have had out here at the shop .

But there is a swap out in the works between 2 customers right now...one going live axle and the other getting the IRS...
