Interior

We are preparing to start reinstalling wiring, the dash and other interior pieces....the first step was sound deadening. A lot of the original sound deadening material remains in the car but we added some more in the form of Dynamat Extreme with a lot on the firewall, roof panel, rear floors and in key points in the rear quarters and wheel housings.

The carpet that was in the car had been replaced....so we are going to clean it up and see how it looks....likely will reuse it as I believe it was in pretty good shape when we removed it.

forgive as i am new to this site, i am in the middle of doing a project by correspondence and was wondering about the qualities of aftermarket interiors. are you doing aftermarket or cleaning up the existing interior? i was looking at the back in black setup but after getting the boot and bezel quality was questionable, just wondering what your thoughts are.

As a rule I always try to use original parts when I can. There are some good aftermarket parts and then there are bad....there are carpets out there(Grey) that turn green in less than 5 months...there are interior paints that are not even close to being the correct color and there are upholstery kits that are good and some that are bad. The best thing you can do is talk to someone who has bought that actual part you are looking for or find a vendor that will be honest with you....but that is a challenge as most vendors will just sell it to you without care or the sales rep on the phone has no clue about the part or maybe even cars in general as it is just a job for them.

Not sure what you are asking?

The car is the original shade of Vibrant/Performance Red and the interior in this car is gray.
