Rattle fixed

+1 on HL22's fix. I used a metal and rubber washer as pictured above and it worked perfectly!

Mine only does this on a cold start up.. it lasts maybe 2-3 seconds, when the idle first rolls down to normal.. Annoying as all hell.

I hope this fixes it.

Thanks,
~j

That noise is gone from the transmission at start up. I'm happy with the repair that the dealer did. Thank goodness the it was covered by my power train warranty nothing out of pocket

Do you have an auto or stick? What did they do to your trans? I have an '09 with an auto trans and it is making a cold start rattle noise for about 2 minutes. Please help, Thanks

I have what is a constant sound that I get from my 07 when I start the car if it is cold (+6 hours). It sounds almost like a grinding noise but goes away after about 5 min of running. It is not associated with any RPM. Is that what you were hearing from your car?
