well, i have yet to have them put on. upon opening the box (and they're obviously vinyl), it wasn't apparent whether they were actually the right color. from the sample i was sent by rob, the slate metallic was definitely a contrast (albeit not as bad as some others) to the alloy paint. well these didn't seem to have much of a contrast, and it was really hard to tell the difference. so i'm thinking he might have sent charcoal metallic by mistake!

Where did you get the stripes? I got a sample from Graphic Express and the Slate Metallic only showed a contrast in "some" light conditions. I also got a Silver Metallic sample and it looked much better.

i had forgotten about this thread and i ordered a set from bsm. i ordered slate metallic side stripes.
sure enough, when i brought it down to the body shop, we noticed that the color was almost identical to my car's alloy color. in the picture on the website, the slate looks like tungsten.
i e-mailed rob about the problem and it seems that he will allow me to send it back for an exchange. i am going to order gloss silver with "mustang" text. the text will be on the front fender section (kind of like where the "gt 500" text is but without the break in the stripe).
was thinking of going with a red stripe, but i chickened out. anyways, rob seems like a stand-up guy. hope all goes smoothly.

decided not to use the stripes i got from bsm. i went and got custom stripes made from fast signs using the same dimensions as the stripes on the 65-66 GT's. i also used the "m-u-s-t-a-n-g" emblems from the 65-66 GT. i am very pleased with the way it turned out.
picture quality is not great, but it is all i got at the moment.
