You gotta see GHIG in person!!
You really have to see GHIG in person to appreciate the color. Proof is in the pudding from the reactions at the 35th International Mustang Meet......1st place in the 2010-2014 Mustang Convertible Stock Class for the Mrs's Gotta Have It Green 2014 GT convertible. People were blown away by the color. A GHIG 2013 Boss 302 also won its class.

There was a new GHIG Boss for sale at the time I got my Boss. It's not a color that I would ever want. My brother has the exact same GHIG GT convertible as above. It's perfect for him. I think it takes the right person to truly appreciate it.
Congrats on your First Place Award.

awesome. but one thing that always bugs me about fellow mustang owners at shows.. Why do you all pop your hood when stock?? I just never understood

GHIG is alright, but I'd rather see it with a silver/white pearl in it rather than the yellow/gold tones. I think with silver/white in it it would look awesome, and I might've bought it.

A lot of shows require the hoods to be up if you want your car to be judged. The judges aren't necessarily looking for noticeable mods to the engine but rather how clean and well kept the engine bay is.
Personally I don't think cars should be staged with the hoods up. Lets face it, there is nothing really attractive about engine bays since about 1985 or so. Back in the height of the muscle car era I could see it. All of the engines were painted, you could actually see them and there wasn't a bewildering maze of wiring and hoses to clutter up the look. That hasn't been the case for a few decades now. I could see them asking you to lift the hood when they come around to judge the car but then you should put the hood back down and just let the car be enjoyed for its overall look and not the look with the hood up. A lot of cars have specialty paint jobs that have a much better look with the hood down.

Only with black wheels, and maybe with some good black stripes. ( such as the Boss in those pictures)
With chrome or aluminum wheels, it just doesn't pop in my eyes, contrast between 2 doesn't match for me.

GHIG is the best color for the '13 Boss, followed by Yellow. The Boss needs a bold color. Competition Orange is my fav for the '12 model year. I wish CO was available as a standard color for '14, I would have grabbed it in a heartbeat on my car if I could have had it.
