Today at the track I ran a 14.099, with the horrendous reaction time of .463. Does this time seem slow to you? I See many people have gotten under 13sec?

What was your trap speed? Manual or auto? Rear axle ratio? Trap speed & weight is a better indicator of horsepower than ET. If you have a manual trans it's real easy to mess up your ET. You can screw up with an auto too, but it's less likely. What's the altitude where you live/race? If your track is below 3,000 ft. and your trap speed is somewhere between 108-112 MPH your power level is OK. What was your 60 ft. time? A good 60 ft. time [ less than two seconds ] is critical to a good ET.

something I didnt realize at first- reaction time dont add to your ET...if youre racing and slow to go you lose at the tree, but your ET will be same...stage shallow(stop the instant the 2nd staging light comes on- clock dont start till tire rolls out of it, and it takes 1-2 tenths to get moving...staging deep youll lose that) you can sit there 2 seconds into the green to get your rpm stable before launch, it wont add to your ET, just your reaction time... work on launching clean/hard with minimal tirespin...that 60 foot time is all important. my 06 best I could ever get was 2.08, and thats no good...even a 4.6 with a decent driver(not me) should be under 2. to do so though, you gotta be on the verge of breaking traction as the rpm builds- on stock tires, its a learned skill I'll never get I'm afraid- so I put wider tires on, havent been back yet though.
how to go quicker- from observation only:
reduce tirespin. hardest thing to do with a stick, but spinning aint moving.
I found 26-28 psi rear helped... most guys run fronts at max psi to reduce rolling resistance
very very fast shifts- if the clutch is in, you're coasting. trannys dont like redline shifts, missed shifts are easy way to bust things.
dont let off till the light comes on. I shut down at the 1000 foot mark first couple runs, thinking I was thru...
these engines make max power screaming- shifting hard just under redline is needed- its hard on everything, but where the power is at.
as for reaction time, worry about that after you get the 60 foot time handled. again, stage shallow- barely hit that 2nd staging light, and when that third amber just barely starts to light, try to beat it to green- you pretty much cant...Ive went even late on the 2nd yellow without redlighting (but in a lowly stock 06 gt) - but im slow
let the rollout of the staging cover reaction by hammering it on the third amber

2013 GT with Track Pak, manual tranny, Bassani axle-bak, no other mods.
12.8x @ 112.x mph, DA around 1200.
Just left line like jammin' down freeway on ramp, shifting just before redline.

12.9@109.8 Bone Stock 2014 Automatic left off idle in Drive 1000ft track. This was when it had 900 miles on it. At that time my best 0-60 on track apps was 4.8. Now the car has 2800 miles and has loosened up a bit as now my 0-60 in track apps has been a best of 4.5 with a bunch of 4.6 0-60 again just leaving in "D" or "S" and mashing the pedal from idle.

yeah, that does seem a bit slow for the 5.0
I recently went to the track with a couple of buddies. My best run was 14.3 for my V6 and even then, I know I can do better.
14.099 seems off.
