traction Problems
I own a 2014 Mustang GT premium 6sp and have approach the 8000 mile mark. Over the past month it seems under hard acceleration I can go through 3 gears and tear rubber even after starting slow. In fact in third gear at a relatively high RPM if I smash the gas the tires break loose. High speed burnouts...LOL. The issue is the tires have plenty of tread, it occurs at all temperatures from the 60s to the 30s. I do have a 373 rear with brambo brakes and 19 inch tires. The puzzling part is when I first had the car for a few thousand miles the traction was controllable, now it is not. I found starting in 2nd gear has given me a 0-60 in 4.5 seconds while starting in first gear the car is uncontrollable. I do rotate my tires and this is why I know my rears tires have plenty of tread too. Is it possible the computer and using only 93 octane fuel along with my back road spirited driving has become accustom to hard and of course; loads of fun acceleration. All the time the car nannies are in place even with AC blowing, and yet the power is there with uncontrollable hard acceleration.even though being totally stock it does look good when the gas is hit a 40mph and the kicks lol. Besides buying street drags anyone else have this issue?

Your tires are most likely the culprit. I had the same Pirelli pzero tires that come with the brembo brake package. These tires are summer only. As the temp drops, they become horrible. I changed my tires to the Michelin pilot a/s 3s and it removed this issue.

Colder tires will light up. Even in the summer I let mine get a little heat before I expect full traction.
If you drive "spiritedly" for 5 minutes (corners, braking, etc) and get some decent heat in the tires, do you still have limited traction?

I'm at 8500 miles, Track Pack, stock tires, same problem. Temps down in the 40-50s here. Can't hook for sh*t. Hadn't tried Track Apps until about a week ago, and can't get better than 4.9 0-60 because I spin entirely through 2nd, with TC on.
I'll be replacing the tires in Spring. I'm also having AED do a dyno tune in January, so I'm sure my traction will be even worse LOL

Going to eventually put Michelin PS3's on the GT to replace the Toyo Proxes 4's.

Thanks for the advice, looks like new and better tires for the future. I do have 373 LSD on the vehicle. I know during the summer I did get a 0-60 in 4.4, and a 1/4 in 12.8 at 115. Of course these numbers were with the onboard track apps. Lol
