Sun Visor Warning Sticker
Hi All.
I'm not a fan of the warning label permanently adhered to the sun visors and wanted to do something about it. It won't peel off like in my F-150...so I'm trying to think of a way to camouflage it. I was considering removing the visors, masking off the fabric, and spraying it with a charcoal vinyl/fabric dye or paint to at least make it the same color as the visor but I'm not sure if that stuff works well...wouldn't want it to peel off or crack. Anyone have any experience as to whether this would work? Or, any other suggestions?? I hate stickers!
Thanks in advance.

I used a new large tip sharpie and it covered it up ok, I tested a corner first on the pass side to make sure I would like it. The service manager at the dealer said to use a lighter to heat it up and it would peal off, I haven't been brave enough to try that one yet though...

Thanks guys. I think I'll try the hairdryer method first to remove it. If that doesn't work, then I'll try the goo b gone...and if that fails, I'll be ordering some of those purdy stickers! Thanks again for the suggestions.

I used a very damp white t-shirt and an iron with lots of steam to get it hot, and then slowly peal it off. There is some glue residue left, but it's not too bad.

It looks a lot better than in the picture. It depends on how the light hits it.

Given the dozens of other options for administering controlled, non-flammable heat to a glued surface, Zippo seems to be an utterly dumb idea. I honestly hope he was jerking you around, b/c if he isn't you need to not let him work on your car. lol.
