RTR and MBRP Axle Backs for V6

Anyone ever hear either of these ABs in person? I found some MBRP axle back clips and they sound pretty good. Fairly deep, throaty sounds and nice sounds during acceleration. Just popped up for sale on American Muscle and they make a version for 300+ bucks which would be right in a price range i could go for right now.

the RTRs are twice the price but I can't find a clip of how they sound. However, they are clay dipped matte black which is going with the look I'm going for on my car and I think they look pretty sexy. Don't know if the price is worth it though. Here's links...

OP-I had the pleasure of hearing the RTR not too long ago and it was really in a league of its own. It's different than anything I've ever heard of and I'm kicking myself for not getting video of it! Really
distinctive sound. Think muffler delete meets chambered setup. The price is going to be directly related to the engineering that went into the system between RTR and Magnaflow. They wanted something straight through that wouldn't wake the dead, but that could be used on a few hour car ride. Shoot me a PM with any of your order numbers or your email and I'm more than happy to have a quote set up for you!

I'll second what Alex said. Magnaflow mufflers with custom tips basically. I've heard the RTRs on GT's and they sounds awesome, but not on any V6s yet. I'm sure they are great like Alex said.

Thanks for the feedback on the MBRP's. They look like the best bang for the buck. Any droning?

You talked me into it, plus I found a code in my inbox for a free AM t shirt. $330 for an exhaust and a shirt is indeed a great value!
It will be a bit until I get them on though, it will be a month or two before the snow melts and I get it back on the road. Until then I am going to get some BBQ paint and give them a coat of black. The removable tips will make this easier.

I didn't think of going chrome, did it come out looking like polished stainless? Do you have a picture?

Hey Dan or others who have gone MBRP - have you had any drone issues? I finally got around to installing mine and am getting a drone right around 1500 - 2000 rpm. Probably not a problem for you manual guys but right where an auto lives. I have confirmed they are installed correctly - the pipes are lined up perfectly and no leaks at the joints. I tried to contact MBRP but apparently they ignore emails. I am debating whether to try Dynamat in the trunk or to remove them.

Guys. It's ok but, seems like it could be a bit more aggressive being it a cat-back?

Here is a sample of my Cat-back V6 exhaust from Solo Performance. it too has zero drone, not anywhere in the power band.

cold start

slow launch start

Just saying, nice to have things to compare with.
