Lowered car with a question on tire size

Hey guys, finally looking into replacing my stock 255/40 pirellis with a set of 275 Michelin pilot supersports on my stock track pack wheels which are 19x9. Now my question is im running sportline springs which are fairly low and leave about a 1 1/2 finger gap all around currently. What tire size would you all recommend for me to go with 275/35 or 275/40? I'm worried that if I go with the 275/40 I might rub due to the tire having a taller side wall. Anyone have some input on this?

Thanks

One of but many of these kinds of sites:

http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

Plug in your numbers for your 255/40, which dont' rub, right? Then plug in your other two and see what your measurements are ove the 255/40s.

Then go to the car and try to figure out where there might be rub with the 35s or 40s and that should get you figured out.

If you're worried about it, the 35s are the obvious choices. You can also just remember not to turn in as much, or put in steering stops on the rack. That requires the inner boots to be taken off and put back on to do that, as I understand it.

Don't know if that helps, but that's the deal, really. Some will, some won't rub.
