Alright kind of thought that might be the case based on the green gradient on the speedo, but figured I'd ask. Knocking down some nice MPGs there, 20k miles in one year? Suppose that'll do it. I don't drive my car hard and I'm at 21.4 over 5k miles, but I sit in rush hour traffic 2x a day.

Installed my engine cover after painting it and waiting for it to cure. I feel it came out pretty good. Still need to finish up my coil covers. Opinions welcomed!

Edit: I definitely need a nice camera, this iPhone camera ain't cuttin' it! lol

What's up with the 2nd gen F body next to it? It looks like it might rip a new arsehole for someone.

Dads 80' Camaro. Has a 6.0L LS motor from a silverado swapped in it with a single turbo. low 10's, high 9's depending on boost level

Awesome. From what little I could see of it, I thought it looked like it might do some damage.

Those junkyard LS motor swaps with a turbo ain't no joke. There's an S10-15 around here with a 5.3 and a cobbled together ebay turbo that just rips everyone apart. Last I heard it was running mid 5's in the eighth on a stock junkyard 5.3 bottom end.

Yup, they work incredibly well. Friend of mine has a Nova with a twin turbo + nitrous 5.3. Bone stock engine. Running in the 8's 1/4 mile with ease lol

I agree. I'm a Ford man to the bone but I have no problem admitting that those motors are a serious piece of hardware. Wish they would have been around back when I was a kid (couldn't afford Ford to build Ford motors back then) and I was building small block chevy 400s (wouldn't turn high revs, but they made a ****load of torque) and high revving 327s that would spin to the moon. Had to have the aluminum heads with the 2.02 valves, etc. that was hot back then. It would have been a paradise for young guys like me to have the LS motors so readily available like they are now. I guess I just missed out on it, it hit too far past my generation.

Then I got into the Fox bodies in the 80s and their light weight and had enough money to build stroker motors with blowers for them and the rest is history, lol. And I could smoke the **** out of those Chevy powered heaps back then, lol. Of course tuning wasn't what it is now so we blew up a ****load of those supercharged Ford motors back then trying to run fuel injection.

I remember I had a 87 LX hatch with a bored and stroked A302 Boss block that burnt/cracked a huge gap between the 7 and 8 cylinder walls when a head gasket let go with an old school Paxton (no intercooler back then) from a tank of cheap gas that was low octane.
