Cross-Generation Dilemma

I think its funny how the new stang has the same name as that huge mercedes sedan. I really hope the '15 doesnt make me give up my car. It has to be mind blowing which it may most likely be. No ecoboost crap for me though either supercharged v6 or v8. Turbo is too"import"

Oh, dang!
If she does get in trouble, it's practically my fault for even starting this thread.
Sorry, Andrea! I reeeeeeally hope you don't get in trouble for it.
But you gotta figure it was logical since the 2014 order guide didn't include any bit on the "50th Anniversary" title, right?

That was my first response as well. Although many commonly call the 99-04 cars "New Edge", the "New Edge" term was the code name for Ford's styling theme at the time. The '99-04 is the mid-cycle refresh of an SN-95 platform, much the same as the '10 was a midcycle refresh of the S197 platform.
The "New Edge" name and design conept was first showcased with the GT-90 concept car, and was used on many vehicles. It was not Mustang or even platform specific, and therefore should not be used in the same context as the SN-95 and S197 monikers.
