Can anyone explain this car?

So still on my search for a 5.0 and came across this car, can anyone explain it?
Here's the oddities from my perspective....

http://www.donherring.com/web/vehicl...ition_id=10426

1. Window sticker says ONLY option is the 3.73.
2. Shows brembo brakes via pictures. Do we think they're actually brembos? Would someone have actually spent the cash to retrofit those? What are the odds someone through on a caliper cover? Seems very silly to spend that money on a base car and then trade it in.
3. What wheels are those? are they even ford wheels?
4. The flat black 'stripe' on the back I thought was exclusive to california special editions, but maybe not?
5. This isn't a premium but that looks like leather seats? maybe just the way I'm looking at it though.

thank ya all

I don't know what the hell they did to that car.

It does have leather seats so it must be a premium and those brembos don't look like the ones from the brembo package...

VERY CONFUSED

It's a modded base car.

- added leather seats/covers
- added rear vinyl blackout
- added caliper covers (the original caliper brace can be seen between the 'caliper' and the hub
- added FRPP SVT-style rims.

It's not a premium. It has the base steering wheel and gauges and no sync emblem. But it does have leather.

oh and good call on pointing out the brembos. First time I saw the car I thought that too and then forgot. Those aren't the typical caliper covers. I'm betting some through on a caliper cover and traded in saying it had the brembo package....

Thanks for the explanation. I was thinking something like that, but seems like a very very odd thing to do.

Although maybe it was done purely for trading in..... I'm wondering what they got the dealer into. Dealer's selling it as a brembo package. But the leather swap would be expensiev, and I'd imagine the SVT style rims would have been more expensive than the stocks?

so very very odd

Good job Chris! You get an A+.

Somebody call Brembo for trademark infringement.

The leather swap is not expensive if they got a hold of some new takeoffs like I did.

Also the hood stripe is an aftermarket available design that I have seen on a few Mustang parts and accessories sites.

Base GT wheel and gauges, 400A seats, and a combination of other parts from all over the place.

They're listing the car for more than window sticker:

It's not a Ford dealer, they may not have any idea all of Ford's window stickers are online.

Pretty hilarious they're trying to sell one for more than its original sticker with 1600 miles on it.

Just heard from the salesman and they are supposedly changing the listing about the brakes.

Price is supposedly because of all the "upgrades" done to it.

Told them good luck...
