Any Difference between a US and a Canadian Mustang

I have a chance to Purchase a 2014 Mustang V6 Premium but it is a Canadian car. I am trying to find out if there will be any issues in the States? Warranty, Upgrades, Standards of things installed on the car etc?

Canadian car would have daytime running lights.

DRLs as mentioned, Kilometers on the speedometer and MPH in smaller script, it might have a block heater.

If Ford is like the manufacturer I work for... Then you will not be able to have any warranty work performed in the States. Basically Ford Canada is not Ford USA and Ford USA will not pay for Warranty work on a Canada car. Just like you could not get warranty work on a Europe Pony either. I could be wrong with Ford. But every other manufacturer I know is this way.

Also I know for a US car to be sold in Canada a written letter from a Dealer is required that there are no open recalls on the vehicle before ownership can be transferred to a Canada resident. Not sure if there is something similar going the other direction. But our good friends at Takata may hinder your purchase if the bags are recalled in Canada also.

If its waranty you are worried about, why not just ask the local Ford dealer service department about it?

Going to Ask my locale dealer and see what they say. Most car manufactures dont like to warranty the cars out of there perspective country. I did not know if there was any mechanical or ecm differences were I would not be able to get performance upgrades.

I will have to look closer at the car for the Moose Guards. Are they hidden or auto deploy?

Think you're wrong.

I bought my brand new 2008 GT500 in Cherry Hills, New Jersey and imported it to Canada.

I have had NO issues with warranty repair including two CLUTCH TSBs and this costly repair. A Brand New Engine from the line due to a bearing failure.

Call this FORD # 1-800-241-3673 and ask to be sure or better yet, EMAIL Ford and ask and then you'll have a record of their response.

Instead of a cupholder in the console, the Canadian Mustang has a compartment where the owner can stow his ration of back bacon... or a can of Molson's, although it won't stay cold during the two weeks of Canadian summer.

I have had a Canadian Ford repaired under warranty in the US many times. It's only Japanese brands that go out of their way to void warranties that are transferred across.

2013 GTs in Canada did not have fogs due to Transport Canada regulations.
