Anybody know if the SVT stripes will be the same style as they are now for the 2012?

So once again I will say....the GT500 will never reach it's full potential as long as it has only a 6 speed manual in it. Now I'm not saying they should put an auto in it and I wouldn't want to see one in the car, but the reality is that automatics rule the world of performance cars.
I understand what you are trying to say...and you are correct and you seem to agree with what I am about to say. Most people including myself dont purchase a GT500 to be the fastest on the street or even really care about being .1 .2 .3 faster slower etc. A muscle car IMO should always have a manual. I love the feel of driving the car...banging through the gears...its a thrill. Yes the Auto would do wonders for consistancy...BUT you're taking away a big element to the driving experience. An Auto takes little skill to master.

People who purchase Automatics in a Sports/muscle car are a different breed....Not saying its a bad thing...just not for me.

Give me some better tires and call it a day

'11 V6 Premium Coupe with V6-PP MSRP = $28,690.
'12 V6 Premium Coupe with V6-PP MSRP = $28,890.

$200 increase year-on-year for the Premium model.

Bring a GT500 to the dragstrip with drag radials and/or mods, and I have to be on my guard (and I would possibly lose).

The factory really needs to figure out a way to harness all the power the GT500 produces if it's gonna compete successfully with the Z28 and CTS-V.
Here's what a stock 2011 GT500 can do with proper rear tires at the track.

Since your not allowed to list prices for the 12' can you say if this list of options will cost more than the 11' model?

If the price list has been released to the dealers, it will be out on the net soon, don't worry.

Any news on when dealers will be able to submit the orders? I just ordered a 2012 Mustang GT Premium in Lava Red with those new seats and 3.55 final drive ratio, and Manual Transmission. Any updates will be greatly appreciated.

That was an impressive run. Any tips (other than tires) on how you launched the car so well?

I guess I've only really seen the Shelby style stripes. I like those. I will go on the Ford site to see these SVT stripes.

Yeah, I know they had a pretty decent year. But yes, out of the woods, not at all. Pay back all that debt that you owe AND have a sizable profit margin, then I will say they've done good. They are doing better as a company. They have just had a lot of problems pouring money into the wrong places. I understand it's no overnight fix.

Does anyone have the Dealer Cost verses the MSRP? I see them each year but havent seen them here yet. Any pictures of the 2012 yet? Probably not much of a change on the outside but I would think there would be some at a Car Show or something now that the order banks are open.

The difference on the 2011 was approximately $4,500.
