No greens listed for 2012. Gonna have to wait and see what 2013 holds.

Nope, the charcoal/black with plum seats are only available on 400A (premium) for the GT's. V6's can get it on 200A (premium), 201A (exterior sport appearance pkg), 202A (pony package), and 203A (MCA edition). And, regardless of which of the premium models above that you choose, it is only leather and only available with the new-for-2012 Lava Red paint.

I keep hearing mid November, but nothing is really confirmed. I've been reading each Ford memo daily for any news on the subject. I'll bet that Jeff (05FordGT) will post it up ASAP once it's announced. He's more on top of these things than I am.

I don't see either of those listed in the '12 order banks. Perhaps Job #2 at mid-model-year, but not for Job #1 in January.

It also shows the plum colored leather that would be in seats. They are much more of a burgundy with purple tones versus a purple color that i first thought of. the red accent stripes look nice though and would be cool as the color for the over the top stripe on the mustang.
I really like the Lava Red / Black-Plum combination. If I buy a 2012 GT that will be what I order (especially now that Sterling Gray is gone).

I know everyone is really hoping for certain colors, but Ford dictates what they want to produce. I really like the way that metallics/pearls look, but they suck when it comes time to add painted body parts or put some paint on the rock chips. I am not a fan of metallics for that reason since you can rarely ever get the flake to lay correctly to match the factory paint.

Solid colors are nice and I don't see many people actaully painting stripes or doing multiple tone paint schemes here. I know the cost is a bit high, but that turns heads much quicker than a factory monotone paint job. Get a color that would be a great base for a two tone paint scheme and go from there. Some fine examples:

Monterey Gray is an '11 Fiesta color and a lot darker than Sterling Gray, as you noted. Monterey Grey is not slated to be available on '12 Mustangs. We've got a Monterey Gray Fiesta and a Sterling Gray Mustang here today, so I took pictures of both for reference....

Does anybody know the last date to put in a 2011 order? The deadline has to be coming up soon.

But if the insert is just that little strip/stripe like in the 2011's to me it doesn't seem to be enough. I'd like the inserts to be bigger, add a little more color contrast.

Read down, the inserts are on the 200/400A which is the Bullitt style seat, not the 401A striped ones.

Allocation is dealer-specific, so the last day to order is really unique to each dealership.

So for 2012 they are offering 3 different shades of red, the least desired and ordered color on a car these days, but dropping the Sterling Grey, one of the most common and most desired colors (along with the black and white color from which grey is made) they had.
Wow, talk about a bad decision Ford.
3 shades of Red
2 shades of blue, one of which looks purplish in some light and angles and the other is kind of a baby blue.
A new shade of Yellow (blaze) another very undesirable and mostly unwanted color.

Good job Ford, what next, drop white for green, another color only abou 1% of the population would want?

Glad I got the Sterling Grey in my 11' when I could.

Back up sensors too, to go along with the back up camera.....in a MUSTANG. Gads...anybody that feels they need a back up camera and back up sensors in a performance minded car, just needs to forget about the Mustang and order a minivan.
Geez, in a performance car you'd think their priority would be to at least give the auto paddle shifters or a "auto stick" on the floor, before worrying about geezers who can't back up without looking at a camera AND needing sensors to tell them they are about to back into something in a CAR made for performance. LOL
