2011 or 2012? Differences?
Looking to purchase a V6 daily driver, are there any differences between a 2011 or 2012? Looks like there is a $1,000 rebate on the 2011's. Any reason not to buy the 2011? Thanks

The 2012 just has a few more extra accessories such as the back up sensors, drive mode, stuff that will cost extra. Unless you want lava red, which is a new color for 2012, sterling grey is only for the 2011, until 2013.

Bottom Line: the 2011 has a $1500 rebate going now, the 2012 only has a $500 rebate. HOWEVER, if you go to Ford's web site & request a brochure by mail, you will be given a $750 "Customer Cash" coupon, good for the 2012 only, so the pricing is pretty darn close.
When you consider that down the road a few years, the 2012 will have a higher resale value than an identical 2011, it makes more sense to me to get a 2012 than a 2011, at least right now.

2012 is the first year the Stone interior was offered with a Glass Roof! Not that it means much, but my 2012 Kona/Stone/Glass roof will likely be the only year that combination was possible/offered.

I think that's pretty much it

I saw you post that before but I know there are generic (not Mustang specific) $750 coupons available because I receive some in March or April when I asked for brochures. For sure those would not stipulate 2012s only because there are several Fords that are still in the 2011 MY. So when people order brochures, if they want a 2011 Mustang they should also ask for other models that are still in 2011. That way they may get a $750 coupon to use on a 2011 Mustang.

No apologies, please. I don't doubt there are 2012-only coupons. I just wanted to let other people know there are some other coupons that work on 2011s (at least up till lately). I apologize if I came across like you were wrong.
