2017 Ford Raptor
I didn't see a thread on the new generation Raptor, so I decided to start one.
On a scale of 1-10, 10 being really interested in it, I'm about a 8.5. The 2 things that really kill it for me are the V6, but I could get used to it I guess, seeing how it got some power and good torque. The second issue and it would be a the big one is the start/stop engine. I don't know how I'd feel about that. A guy I work with has a 2015 Ford with EcoBoost and he doesn't really like that much. I wonder if there is a way to disable that, either temporarily or permanently.
Anyways,...any thoughts?

I forgot about the Bronco!! I like the photo you posted.
If it's anything close to that, I may entertain.
I asked my co-worker about it as well. He hates it. He turns it off every single start-up. He has a 2015 Ecoboost XLT.
Sort of reminds me with the MDS on my truck. You can turn it off but, you need to redo it every time you turn the truck off. (There is a permanent fix, but it requires a new PCM and tuner.) I actually don't mind the MDS in that I am saving money on gas, but either once or twice a week, I drive it in non MDS mode.

I built one the last couple of nights. lol
Mine came out to roughly 64k. I don't want the Supercab, the extended cab. In Lightning Blue, 802A Equipment Package with the Raptor graphics package of course. There were some other things I added as well to boost up the price, unfortunately.

I had thought about a Raptor, till the salesmen who sold me my 14, mentioned ADM.
Also, one of the must have items for me is the single panel moon-roof. When you add that to a Raptor build, ( $ 995 ), the package changes & adds $ 4155.00 to the price.
Will move forward on a 17 F150 Lariat instead, comes in @ $ 43230.00 the way I built it & using the X plan.....( which you can't use on a Raptor )

I had told the dealer sales manager last year I'd be in to order one and he said he'd do it at MSRP like my first one in 2010 but I'm too happy with my 2016 F250 to change now.

It's growing on me.
Great news hearing that the engine start/stop feature can be disabled. I think there is a trick in using the trailer hitch when putting a cover on it?? Permanently disables it.
(What's the sense in that feature anyways? I think it's stupid, especially on a truck. My co-worker agrees with me. He hates it. Seems like A LOT of people hate it on the F150 forum as well.)

The point is to save on fuel ultimately. No need to waste gas just sitting there idling. To be clear is doesnt turn off everytime you come to a stop. There are very specific conditions that allow it to turn off including engine temp, coolant temp, battery draw, ac use, ect. To be fair I have not driven the Ford version, but on the GM cars the system is hardly noticeable. I would love it on a DD to save a few bucks.
At least it can be disabled. That's the good thing.

Same here Patrick. I built one on the Ford site the past 2 nights in a row.
I know exactly what I want. Gotta have the graphics package, the optional blacked out wheels, (not the stock ones,) and minus the rear tailgate applique. The plain look on the tailgate looks killer with just the F150 emblem on one side and the Raptor emblem on the other. Oh,...and it must be Lightning Blue. Too many items to list on my build to post here.
If I bought one, I would just have it ordered and built the way I wanted it. Pretty much fully loaded, 802A package. If you're going to buy a Raptor, you gotta do it right. Plus, it's the vehicle you spend most time in since it's the daily driver, so why not go big.
This is the truck I was going to buy originally before I bought my Ram, after all. I just didn't want to wait a year or more for a new truck at that time. Hey, everything happens for a reason, right?!
