I've got a optima red top. No problems so far. I don't need the yellow top or anything that big, not any battery sucking add ons to my car.

I just run motorcraft batteries in my cars. I have a motorcraft in the mustang on a trickle charger. I have only gone through 2 motorcrafts in my '00 contour in over 11yrs, the stock one lasted 9yrs with only driving it about few thousand miles a year.

Without googling facts, most of today's batteries are made by the same couple companies. Regardless what sticker is on it, they are basically the same batteries nowadays.

Autozone sells optima now. I would go for it. Been having one in my Tahoe for 4 years now without a problem.

My GT is an 04 and the battery just went bad. It's the stock motorcraft. So that's 8 years. My gt is not stock

I was installing my sound tube delete the other night and I noticed the battery is super corroded. I would say about half a cup of gross whiteness. I will take it to the dealer and let them handle it. Maybe I will just buy a new optima blue top deep cycle.
