aside from that I want to make it a sleeper build so people think its just an unassumeing Mustang with a V6 in it but when the throttle goes open they (as best as possible) get the feel as if its a V8 under the hood...
Hey Jim,

Looking good so far! Curiosity killed the cat - What's the 05+ wheel for? We do have a slew of wheels on site and many customers will pick them up with a tire just to have a spare in case.

Take a look at our 2005-2009 Wheel Selection and let me know if you're to have any questions but if you're looking for something specif that we don't carry you may have to take a trip to the dealer or take a look on eBay. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Alex

Well Alex at least its not killing ponies...as for the 2005+ steering wheel its more of a can I do it, I also think the lines of the 05 style and colours just plain look better then the current wheel on my Mustang, it just seems.....well I can't find a word for it, the rest of the car is good but the wheel just feels out of place for some reason on the Mustang...

as for the wheels going to take a look, hope you been enjoying the build so far, I am going to be installing additional LEDs soon....

Well the postal service droped of two packages today!! YAY Im excited, I got the flasher to my truck (hoping that will correct the LED issues in it) and the set of keys I got off ebay that were said to fit the ignition of my car, I tested and looks like minor modding may be needed, but oh well, I will figure out something!! anyways heres the pics!

ok did a bit more work today with the car, and got quite abit done too!! I installed a new (green) dome light that is LED (i got two, one for the truck also), the festoon bulb that was there stopped working today so that was a well timed for its death, also got a set of 6 LEDs 6000K white for the map lights for both the truck and Mustang (hey I need to show the truck some love too...), decided that since the truck sisn't want to behave and work the LEDs in the STT lamps I would swap them over to the mustang which I did (pics below) and then while I was at it decided to swap the back up bulbs in as well since I had every thing torn open (why do it twice when I can do it once and be done??)

the map light install will be coming once I fine a replacement dome light to replace the broken/not so great working one in the mustang (yes I could swap the one out of my truck but that is a saddle brown colour and would look out of place) but it is the same type of dome light which is nice (thanks Ford)

pics of the green dome lamp (all I got to say is WOW its brighter then I thought!)

The back up lamps (yes the two inner most tails (closest to the boot lid) are the red LEDs that were in the truck tails

also completed the works package today on the car, got tyres rotated, fluids checked, oil checked and a safety inspection all for a whopping $22 today, only thing really needing work right now is the ball joints, can anyone tell me how hard those are to replace, or if it would be better to have a shop do the work or get it done by the local Ford dealer?)

Definitely get those ball joints changed out, they are kind of a weak point on the new edges. Had mine break in the parking lot at school when I was going through auto tech. We actually did it out in the parking lot. I think they were fairly easy compared to most cars but you'll need a ball joint press if you do it yourself. You could try and Google it since its been a few years now since I had to do them on a mustang. If you don't feel you can do it, pretty much any shop can do ball joints so taking it to a dealer you'll pretty much get overcharged for it. Wish I could remember better to be more helpful, I've just done so many different ball joints since then I can't remember sorry

I am, it's always cool to see what other people do with theirs. And the sn95 section on TMS has really slowed down so it's nice to have someone posting in it haha gives me something to read.
Raxiom just came out with 13-14 style tail lights for 99-04 so that'll hopefully be my next mod for the Mach, but it probably won't happen until later in the summer with kinda low funds at the moment and with the baby coming tomorrow I've just got a lot going on but at least I'll be able to drive it

well I ordered a Goodie from AM tonight for the clutch pedal, figured what the heck, might as well. I also spent the day (well a good portion of it) running around gathering the parts I needed for fixing Buddy's power steering system, got the return line and the pump its self, and have the filler cap being washed in the dish washer (top rack) to get the grease or what ever was caked on (very nasty stuff), off, looked to be at least 5 years of gunk caked on, so I am waiting for that to finish, anyways I hope to have the system together and thanks to the folks at Autonomics Lexington, I will have access to a lift to allow for getting up under the car (going to have them assist me with some of the work like the fluid and bleeding the system correctly).

So as far as I am concerned there at least is a light at the end of the tunnel for this mess that happened!

Anyways on to the pics I suppose!!

Pics of it installed in Buddy will come once received!

Also discovered the oddest place for the boot release for the Mustang tonight....

I will say its a rather interesting location to put the boot release...yes thats the glove box, but what ever...

here are the parts I got for the power steering fix, also got one of the touch up pens by duplicolor and a replacement fill cap for the PS pump (may be taking it back once my current one is cleaned up)

Hey be happy it at least has one even if it's in the glovebox. 05-09 maybe even a few years after didn't have one in the car, only on the fob and using the key!

Don't get me wrong I am happy its there but really...why did they put it there and not some where on the drivers side say like most cars in the fuel door lever or something??

I am half tempted to explore and see if I might be able to reroute the button or something...

also bought some more "bling" for Buddy today, going to get a proper style shifter after I broke the plastic insert on the current one, also going to attempt to fix that one and keep it as a back up!

I dig the stickers!
Yeah you could see about that. I know for the s197's you could buy a kit to put in a truck button and I think most people put it in the center console storage box compartment spot. So I'm sure you could probably move it wherever you wanted. As for it being in the glove box that's just what ford did for a long time in pretty much every model. Ones that had fuel doors a lot of times would be in there too. I think some of it had to do with you had the "security" of locking the glovebox and it was out of sight from people breaking into cars type of thing.

I havent really decided, I do kinda like the thought process involved, but really someone could still get in through the back rest so even if its locked behind the glove box and someone breaks in the cab.....yea....but meh what ever nothing is 100% fool proof....Im just hoping my mods get here soon! im excited, ordered two items from AM!!

Well determined that the power steering pump was the cause of the leak, so took to the place I got the car at and put it on there lift so we could drain the entire system, and then got the pump installed and flushed the system

Here are some pics

Good deal. I'm sure it turns nice now and probably nice and quiet as well. I'm glad mine is managing to hold out. It kind of squeaks/whines every now and then but it still turns fine lol

Well we're still working on it after the parts place sent us a bad unit so we sent it back and got a new one in and we're currently working to bleed out all the air at this time
