it should be pretty straight forward. just make sure you bleed the brakes well.
Also, pick up a repair manual if you dont already have one.

Nope, just buy one from any auto parts store, and have a buddy with you to push the brake while you open/close the bleeder valve until the bubbles are gone. Make sure you constantly fill the brake fluid or you can get air into the ABS and need Ford to bleed that out. Just be careful and everything should be good. Are you replacing the line as well, or just the caliper?

It doesn't seem that difficult. Just gotta watch for air in the lines? I'll keep you guys posted. Had to buy new tires first :-). She still brakes just fine. Just a bit squeaky.

If it's just squeaking I would try to change the pads before doing something extreme like changing the caliper. I just upgraded to Cobra fronts, and they are squealing up a storm under low speed braking. I put on new cheapo pads, but now I'm looking into some decent pads so I can hopefully eliminate that.

How did you break them in? Improper break in can cause glazing on the pad which causes that squeal. Just trying to help you out, because it would suck to change the caliper, and it just be the pad.

Def. break them in right! and it'll still be a bit before they truly bed in and give you max performance.
I love the Hawk HPS's that I had!

Try to compress the piston in. If it goes in then the caliper isnt freezing up. Now try to slide the slide pins in and out. They shoild glide easily. I have a feelin that is your problem. If not either of those problems your rubber brake lines may be breaking down inside and causing blockage. Normally you can tell wjen this is happening because you can feel your brakes dragging
