Troubleshoot right front speaker

I replaced the original Shaker 500 head unit with an alpine UTE 52BT. Everything is fine except I don't seem to get sound out of the upper right front door speaker. The woofer on that side seems fine.

What I don't know is if that speaker ever worked -- had the car about a year. I guess first step is to check from that speaker back towards the head unit. I'm hoping I don't have to dig into the dash and pull the radio again.

You could use an ohm meter to make sure that speaker hasn't open-circuited.

I have a good multi-meter but it looks like accessing the speaker requires lots of stuff to be removed. And, I really don't want to tear the dash out again to access the speaker wires behind the stereo.

You should be able to check the speaker at the door panel, not from the dash unit side.
