Eclipse or Pioneer Nav
I would like to hear opinions on which one is a better Nav radio: Eclipse AVN6620 or Pioneer AVIC-Z2.
Sound quality, Nav quality, etc.

While I can't give info on the 2 above, I do have the Pioneer D3 (as do several other forum members) and its a wonderful unit, especially for under $800 right now on Crutchfield. From what I have read, you can't go wrong with either one.

I am like Jeff, I can't give details on those two units specifically BUT, I will say.......
I am a diehard Eclipse fan.... I've had NOTHING but Eclipse headunits in ALL of my cars since 1992, back when their headunits had true vacuum fluorescent displays, dual 16bit converters, and no clocks LOL. But when it came time for a new navigation unit, I went with Pioneer and I have absolutely no regrets. I too have the AVIC D3 and it is a great, great unit. Reasons why I chose Pioneer this time is:
1) Ipod and navigation features
2) Audio processing
3) Price

The only thing I cared about is the navigation style, and I couldnt be happier with the Eclipse. Its the exact same style Toyota uses, so if you have ever used a Toyota navigation system and liked it, the Eclipse is for you. Its sometimes easier to follow than other factory in dash gps units (Cadillac, Nissan).
