That's standard on a red leather '05-09 GT interior. The door panels are charcoal, the inserts are red. Only other red parts are the seats themselves, and the floor mats. All else is charcoal... I think. I'm probably off a tad. Eh.

It's pretty like that, ya ask me.

Don't be afraid! Just do it! It's not as bad as I thought... especially lying flat.

Do yourself a favor and just remove the panel, it only takes 10 minutes and makes the job MUCH easier. Good luck!

I have the IUP interior and the inserts are sagging. Has anyone removed all the foam and whatever is back there. Is it the same taxture as the rear insert section? how hard was it to remove all the backing material, just wondering what was involved in removing everything

I saw that, but was wondering if that takes it all the way down to door panel plastic. And if it was same texture as rear insert area, that has no covering. Maybe what I am looking for is a picture of a non-IUP door panel, is that what is under our pleather

No it's not hard plastic at all, it's like carpet. Carpet with a really short nap, almost a fabric. It's a pain to glue, takes several coats of glue before it'll tack and stick.

After removing the "pleather", I poked and pulled on what was left and found out that there is another layer behind the foam that is left. It is a fabric type of backing that is glue to the door panel. The plastic door panel behind this backing is in fact the same rough textured plastic as the small area in the back seat panels. Will be seeing what takes the glue off, as Goo Gone isnt touching it, any ideas?

hey guys great thread....my vinyl has been sagging for awhile so ive been wanting to fix it, but im not a fan of the texture of the vinyl so i want to replace it with either blaack or red suede, i was planning on peeling the whole piece off then tracing the shape onto some fresh fabric, cutting it out, the re installing it, i was just wondering if any of you know if the vinyl only "outlines" the armrest and will come off around it, or if the armrest basically is attached over the vinyl...

thanks in advance, WIll
