I still have not been able to find the second place to plug in the WPT440 wiring harness. I found the one at the bottom of the clock spring, but can't find any at the left side. Anyone set this up and can upload a photo or some kind of drawing?
At the left side of the clockspring, there's another socket for a WPT-440. Extend a cable from the same pin that you plugged in above to the Steering Wheel Interface (White at SWI-JACK) and follow instructions for your interface (for 2012 Mustang: Cut appropriate wires, solder in a 100ohm resistor and program)
^This is what I can't find.^
Any help is greatly appreciated, and apparently I need plenty of help!

Hi guys, I am still not understanding the audio controls installation. If you have 2 of the 440 harnesses and the PAC adapter. Where do you wire up the other 5 wires that are left after the cruise install? (I know theres 6, but the green goes to ground). And where do I hook up the white wire from the PAC?
Please help, I was hoping to attempt this today. My father bought me one of the GT500 wheels. WOO HOO lol

I just got my BOSS 302 steering wheel today. I don't want to mess with it yet as my car is in the body shop. One question I have though is the 3 plastic covers on my stock '06 wheel were removable. Are the covers on this wheel removable?

I did some research and i found how to get Cruise Control to work - i haven't got the time to do this but when i do i will and ill let u guys know .

Old Connector >>> New Harness:
white >>> gray
blue >>> brown
red >>> red (pwr)
green >>> black (gnd)
The resistance between the new harness gray and brown wires is as follows as each button is pushed:
OFF = 0 ohms
ON = 1500 ohms
RESUME = 1000 ohms
SET (-) = 300 ohms
SET (+) = 600 ohms
Music Controls: (I don't have these working yet; however, this is the resistance between the new harness green and purple wires as each button is pushed)
Music Icon = 510 ohms
VOL (-) = 50 ohms
VOL (+) = 120 ohms
|<< = 335 ohms
>>| = 210 ohms
Phone Controls: (I don't have these working yet; however, this is the resistance between the new harness yellow and blue wires as each button is pushed)

Question to the guys who have done this to your 05-09 cars and used the GT or Boss style later steering wheels.
Where did you, or better yet, how did you use the right side wpt440 to hook to the steering controls? What I mean is, how did you run the wires from below the clockspring to the s/w controls?
Running the left side wpt440 is not a big deal. Wire 1 goes to J1 #18, wire 2 goes to J1#19 (radio + & - buttons), wire 3 goes to either J3 #4, depending on which SWC you have (SWC 1 shown, SWC 2 uses different slots), wire 4 goes to J3 #5 Sync goes in #5, and the 6th wire is either left blank or use for phone control. That would take care of all 6 leads from the wpt440.
I just don't want a lot of wire laying around, but I wonder just how to go about the turning aspect and the wiring. I have everything hooked up to work properly and does. Before I button up everything, I just want to make sure nothing can rub etc. So, how did you run the wires from the right side lower clock spring to the wiring in your 2012 GT or Boss steering wheels? Thanks.

Just a note for guys going to make this switch over. The WPT 440 has been replaced by Motorcraft. It's new number is WPT 1242. It comes with green wires now and 6 pieces of shrink wrap and instruction sheet in the package. The new Ford number is 3U2Z-14S411-MJB. I found a place that sells them for under $26.00 each. That beats anyone else by at least $6.00 a pop, and they send the new update number. I got them in 3 days in AK. Not bad if you ask me. I don't know if I had better say a name, but I think I can PM them back to you. I'm just trying to keep in the good graces of the mods.

FINALLY got around to putting the 2012 GT steering wheel on my 06 GT today. Wasn't attempting to do audio controls, just the basic install. I love the new wheel. Cruise control works fine but I'm not getting any lights on the steering wheel buttons when the headlights are on. What could I have messed up?

I finally installed my Boss steering wheel in my 05 GT. It looks great and the cruise control works flawlessly thanks to the wiring help from this forum. I'm not hooking it up to my Pioneer head unit as I mostly listen to my iPod and rarely listen to the radio but I left that connection intact in case someone else wants to hook it up.
