Anybody know where the trunk light switch is?
For some reason, my trunk light has taken to staying on. How do I know this? Simple... dead battery in the morning. Removed bulb and all was OK.
Is there a mercury switch, or a mechanical switch somewhere near the light or maybe in the trunk lid hinge?

Hey! Got it. Just as 05 GT O.C.D. said, it is a mechanical switch in a rubber boot. Either it is faulty or something got out of alignment keeping it from closing. I'll check tomorrow. Thanks again.

You can check to see if the light is on in the trunk when the trunk led is closed by folding down the rear seat from inside the car and looking in. This switch in the rubber boot controls the trunk light and the trunk ajar massage in the massage center if equipped with the premium package. Check the harness going to the rubber booted switch for any bad connections or broken wires.

Wait, you mean message center? Oh, well that is not nearly as exciting.
