New 67 Shelby Style Hood
Finally got the stripes on my Proglass Mystery 7 hood. It is functional (see ram air box link http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=469389) and about 3 inches longer than stock. The grille and headlights have extensions.
This is one of 2 made. It is similar to the Fang hood, but it does not have the notches at the nose of the hood and the headlight extensions are different.
Quality, fit and finish are A+.
Terry Delong made this hood (and the original Fang hoods) and although he has no plans to make any more, you can contact him for more details at 260-302-6454. Terry say that the twin to mine is Torch Red and is currently for sale, so anyone interested can call him.

Thanks! I definitely need a chin spoiler to round it out. And ducktail too - anything to cover up the center brake light. I can't stand that thing.

That's on the bottom of the hood though not the top. If they would have done it as it was originally done I would have no issues and would be the owner of one of their hoods. I understand why they did it I think it could have been better if it didn't break the top line.
67 Shelby style hood and nose
67 Fang Hood and extensions
What fang/ aeroform should have done. I think the hood would sell more.

No - I tried - but there is a limit to the time you have to edit. I did not know that when I posted. I contacted an admin about it and that is what I was told. I may ask Brad if he can give me a 'waiver' to clean up the post...
As for the Fang hood differences, Terry (who made the hoods at Fang) wanted to make the hoods without the notch. As I understand it, he argued with management and they trumped him, so he notched them. The reasoning (of mgmt) was to be more correct or true to the lines of the 67. Which I understand. But there are many other differences on the S197. No chrome bumpers. The front valance has round turn signals, etc. How far do you want to take it to simulate the 67? So, when Terry was off on his own, he had the freedom to make it the way he wanted in the first place. Which of course, is the way I like it. Much cleaner body lines as Deric has shown in the last pic above...
Also, the other hood / extensions like mine is for sale. It is currently Torch Red.
