NCAA rule changes
Has anyone heard about the new rule changes? One is good, when they review the targeting rule, and realize it wast targeting, the 15 yard penalty won't stand.
But the other one is complete nonsense. The defense has 10 seconds to change personal. So the offense cannot snap the ball before 29 seconds on the game clock, or they will get a 5 yard penalty. Unless its within two minutes of the 2nd or 4th qrt. This completely ruins college football.
What if a team is down two scores with 4 mins left? It would be impossible to drive 80+ yards twice.

Right now it's only a proposal, and I think your scenario would be a strong case against it. It's Saban who is griping about the Air Raid offenses being 'too fast'. Give me a break.

I think they will make the final decision on march 6th. Hopefully it won't pass.

Mike leach said it best!
"First off, [I] doubt it will pass," Washington State coach Mike Leach
said. "Second, it's ridiculous. All this tinkering is ridiculous. I
think it deteriorates the game. It's always been a game of creativity
and strategy. So anytime someone doesn't want to go back to the drawing
board or re-work their solutions to problems, then what they do is to
beg for a rule. I think it's disgusting."
"My suggestion is rather than spending a bunch of time coming up
with a bunch of really stupid rules, spend that time coaching harder. Worry about your own team and try to make your product
better rather than trying to change the game so you don't have to do
anything."
