SCT XCal2 causing DTC codes?
Anyone here use the SCT Xcal2 for datalogging and/or have it plugged in more or less all the time?
This morning, I think my Xcal2 caused some computer glitch:
First, when I started my car, I got a barrage errors/warnings (brake systems, charging systems, etc, etc). I turned the car off and tried to start it up again. It didn't start.
I opened the hood, looked really hard and angrily* at the battery and jiggled at the terminals, closed the hood, and then it started up fine, but had 3 DTC codes:
p0141 ox s htr - cir 1 s2
p0155 htd ox s - htr cir 2 s1
p0161 htd ox s - htr cir 2 s2
Looks like something to do with the oxygen sensors?
And later, when I turned off the car at the post office, and started it up again, I got the barrage of errors, and ALL MY GAUGES (tachometer/speedo) were stuck at 0! Unplugging the Xcal2 immediately brought my gauges back and the errors went away.
Any ideas? Bad XCal2? Or bad ECM? I reflashed after all this anyway, just to be safe.
*(Tangent: This is also how I fix my home computer. In the past, I used to take everything apart and put it back together, and it would magically work again. Now I've simplified it to just remove the computer cover, touching/jiggling stuff, looking angrily inside, and trying again..)

Check your passngerside floor board for moisture. Has it rained recently ion your area? Sounds like a SMJ issues as far as all the warning lights. The codes are most likely related to bad o2's

Sure, I'll send you my tune when I figure out how to do it.
I think it may also be related to the Xcal device, because it the barrage of warnings/errors (and my tachometer not working) went away when I unplugged the unit.

I've had weird things happen on the OBD2 but that was with my old Ford PCM. I've never tried datalogging on the CAN BUS system but it looks like it is still subject to the same problems.
