Assuming you are checking oil and using a good grade?
Hope it is not valves or something more serious.
Do you know a mechanic or someone extremely knowledgable?

It's really hard to diagnose engine noises over the web but maybe if you could take a video of it making the sound we could be of more help?

Wait so is it not coming from the engine then? As in, does it do it when you turn key to on but do not start the car? Because that's totally different. I think most of us were thinking on a totally different line.

No they said its coming from the air condition I might be the motor that controls the air I'm guessing

If could be the mode door actuator, the blend door motor, or the blower motor. If its one of the first two, its like a 6-8 hour job usually. The whole dash normally has to be removed.

my wife's flex started making that sound. it was blend air door flapping, as long as we never turned the fan off it would not make the sound you are refering too. took it in and was fixed under warranty so don't know how much but they fixed in half a day.
