the tube sits up against the power steering reservoir, it just gouges it because I never cared to prevent against it. Oh well.

Hey Rob,
I take it you did not have any install issues with the C&L intake. I would like to get a spacer but have read some are having install problems. Like it won't fit. Too Tight. What's your experience??

[attachmentid=38231]Here are pics with my C&L intake. It was a tight fit and I had to replace a vaccuum line because it wasn't long enough. The power steering res touches but after about 2k in miles not showing any damage. The coolant res does not hit at all.

The power steering res does hit a little but not much and only on the cushioned sleeve portion. There is some adjustment on the filter end and make sure you bolt it to the cam cover to make everything stay aligned.

I have had it to the track and ran it hard sometimes on the street and there was no indication of enough movement from the engine to cause any damage to anything.

I installed mine with the JLT. First, make sure the elbow is oriented properly (short end connected to the throttle body). Next, after you mount it, keep the hose clamps somewhat loose and give the tube some shoves until it is no longer touching the resorvoir, then tighten up. It shouldn't touch if done this way (at least mine doesn't).

I echo 6505pony's reply... snug, but it fit.

I'll believe it when I see some dyno runs, I hope it's true. Thanks for the right up!
To bring up an old thread, I bought one and dyno'd it. Just as I thought, no gain in horsepower or torque. But, I have taken on and off a couple of times, and I can definitly feel better throttle response with it on.
